    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive the needle bar, the thread take up lever and the hook with a higher precision by simplifying the structure of a driver, eliminate a safety cover with a higher safety or minimize the size thereof and reduce the twisting of the arm shaft to a half while minimizing the drop in the rigidity of the bridge.

Also provided are a drive pulley 21 which transmits the rotation of the drive motor 20 through a drive belt 31 so arranged as to pass through a through notch 2a formed on the front of the cylindrical bridge 2, a driven pulley 30 and the drive belt 31.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a slender, cylindrical sewing to be sewn and improve universality by transmitting the rotation of a lower shaft to an interlocking shaft intercepting the lower shaft by a bevel gear and by transmitting the rotation of the interlocking shaft to a shuttle shaft of a total rotation shuttle by a rotation transmitting means. SOLUTION: A bevel gear 3 is fixed to a lower shaft 2 that is supported onto a head 1 and rotates, interlockingly with an upper shaft. An interlocking shaft 4 having a bevel gear 5 interlocking with the bevel gear 3 at one end is supported onto the head 1 perpendicularly to the axis of the lower shaft 2. A sprocket 6 is provided at the other end of the interlocking shaft 4. A shuttle shaft 7 that is supported onto the head 1 and intercepts the lower shaft 2 is provided, and a total rotation shuttle 8 is fixed to one end thereof. A sprocket 9 is fixed to the rear end of the shuttle shaft 7, and a timing belt 14 is extended to the sprocket 6 of the interlocking shaft 4. The shuttle shaft 7 is rotated at twice the revolution of the lower shaft 2 by the bevel gears 3, 5, the sprockets 6, 9 and the timing belt 14, thereby enabling a slender, cylindrical sewing to be sewn.

Then, a friction attenuating mechanism 36 for attenuating the correlative rotation of the shuttle shaft 26 and the output shaft 36 by the friction of the tension member 65 against the second part cylindrical part 55 is provided.
