    • PURPOSE: To easily obtain a high-concn. coal/water slurry suitable as a boiler fuel even if difficultly combustible coal is used as a raw material, by previously crushing the feed coal to such an extent that the max. size of the coal particle is not more than a specified value, followed by wet crushing.
      CONSTITUTION: Feed coal is previously crushed to such an extent that the max. coal particle size is not more than about 1,000W150μm by subjecting the feed coal to dry crushing, to drycrushing and dry classification, to wet crushing, or to wet crushing and wet classification. A coal/water slurry of coal concn. ≥about 500μm is prepd. by subsequent wet crushing. Thus it is possible to obtain a high-concn. coal/water slurry suitable as a boiler fuel even when difficultly combustible coal of a fuel ratio of about 1W3 is used as a raw material.

    • PURPOSE: The title slurry with excellent stability, prepd. by mixing and dispersing a colloidal particle comprising a minute particle of coal, petroleum coke, clay mineral, a desulfurizing agent, etc. in a solid fuel/water slurry.
      CONSTITUTION: A solid fuel raw material A such as coal or petroleum coke sent to a bunker 3 by a conveyer 2 is roughtly crushed into about 7-mesh particles by a rough crusher 4, and the more than 90wt% thereof is supplied via a pipe line 5 to a tube mill 11 and not roll than 10wt% thereof is sent via a pipe line 6 to a stirred mill 9. On the other hand, water 16 and an additive 17 such as an anionic surfactant are supplied respectively via pipe lines 8 and 7 to the mills 9 and 11. A colloidal slurry wet milled in the stirred mill 9 and contg. a large amt. of minute particles is supplied via a pipe line 10 to the tube mill 11. A high-concn. solid fuel/water slurry obtd. by mixing in the mill 11 with the roughly crushed fuel, etc. previously supplied by means of wet milling is sent to a slurry tank 12 and then supplied via a pipe line 13 to a boiler plant or the like.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a tube mill which has good slurry pulverizing efficiency regardless of its large capacity, and size of whose shaft part and bearing is reduced by installing a means for holding the optimum quantity of slurry near the slurry outlet side inside a shell part. CONSTITUTION:A reduced diameter part 14 is extended from the slurry outlet side of a shell part 2 in which a raw material is pulverized into a slurry, and further, a trunnion shaft 20 of a trunnion bearing 24 for discharging the slurry is provided. Near the slurry outlet side inside the shell part 2, a partition plate 3 having an opening in the center which serves as a means for holding the optimum quantity of the slurry is installed. The reduced diameter part 14 is provided with scrape-up blades 15 for scraping up the slurry on the trunnion shaft 20 side. Then, the slurry is retained and held up to a level to maintain the suitable holdup quantity. The slurry in the reduced diameter part 14 is not retained in the bottom part of the reduced diameter part 14 but moved successively by the scrape-up blades 15 to be discharged even if the inner diameter 21 of the shaft of a tube mill 1 is small.
