    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high productivity and improved welding quality by arranging an energizing coil that encloses each electrode of multi-electrode submerged welding, imparting to the coil an alternating current in a specific hertz range, welding with a magnetic flux density set in a specific gauss range at the tip end of a welding wire, and thereby improving the welding speed of seam welding of UOE and spiral steel tubes. SOLUTION: An alternating current of 5-15 Hz is flowed from the power source 11 of an alternating magnetic field to the coil 3 wound between the steel-made inner and outer skins, and generates a magnetic field having a 50-500 gauss of a magnetic flux density at the tip end of a welding wire. Since the magnetic field generated by winding an enamel copper wire in the circumferential direction of the first to fourth electrode 12-15, then a magnetic field 25 is obtained in the axial direction against a welding electrode on the steel-made inner skin 2 side of a magnetic stirring coil. Meantime, a welding arc 22-25 for the first to fourth electrode is generated while a proximity to a weld zone is covered with a flux 21 for submerged arc welding between the welding wire and the base material from each center through the welding electrode 12-15 from the power source.
