SOLUTION: Flexible locking lances 161-162, installed in a connector housing 2 serve as partition between terminal receiving chambers 3 as well and are entered into the terminal receiving chambers to be positioned, slanted partitions 101-102 continue behind the locking lances, the slant partitions follow horizontal rear partitions 91, 92, and front partitions 222-223 having taper guides 22a to press tips of terminals in the flexure direction of the locking lances are positioned in front of the locking lances, at the same height as that of the rear partitions 91, 92. The distance L4 between the front partitions is at least the sum of the height of the terminals and the flexure margin L1 of the lance 161. The front partitions 222-223 are formed in a front holder 4. The slant partitions 101-102 are formed in a terminal locking spacer 6 and serve as terminal locking walls at the same time. A second engaging stepped part of the terminal for the slant partitions 102 is formed lower than a first engaging stepped part with respect to the locking lance 162.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly break a power circuit upon occurrence of an abnormality. SOLUTION: This connector has a movable pin 43 in slidable contact with terminals 55 and 56, an engagement part 54 and a locking means 45 for the movable pin 43, an energizing means 62 and a lock releasing drive means (solenoid) 42 for the movable pin 43. One of the locking members 45 of one locking means is jointed to the plunger 44 of the solenoid 42, and the other locking member 45 is journalled to a bracket 46, thereby engaging the locking member 45 with the engagement part 54. The solenoid 42 may be symmetrically provided with a second plunger 150 for jointing a second locking member 151 thereto so as to be engaged with a second engagement part 65 of the movable pin 43. Also, the plunger 44 may be pulled in a locking direction using a weight and a folded wire, instead of the lock member 151. The engagement part 54 may be formed on the forward end of the movable pin 43, the locking member 45 and a bracket may be arranged at the projected side of the movable pin 43, and then the solenoid may be laid at the lateral side of the movable pin 43. Furthermore, the locking member 45 has a resin tip 53, and the movable pin 43 is formed to have a housing part for a coil spring 62.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal having stable contact resistance with a terminal pin which admits easy molding process and can be fabricated at a low cost by furnishing a ring-shaped thin wall part at the periphery of the pin insert end of a cylindrical contacting part, and equipping the thin wall part with a plurality of projections protruding at the inside surface. SOLUTION: A ring-shaped thin wall part 6 is provided at the periphery of the open end of a cylindrical contacting part 3 and is equipped with a plurality of projections 7 as protruding at the inside surface of the contacting part 3 at an appropriate spacing. A slit 8 extending in the longitudinal direction to reach the base end from the open end of the part 3 is furnished between the projections 7 and 7, and each split piece of the part 3 partitioned in the slit 8 is allowed to serve as a resilient contacting piece for the mating terminal pin. When the terminal pin is to be fitted in a receptacle hole 3a by the projection 7 in the part 3 of the intended heavy current female terminal 1, the tip of each projection 7 makes point contact with the periphery of the terminal pin, and a proper resilient contacting is generated owing to the split piece. The processing can be achieved easily because the projections 7 are formed from the outside.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the separating operation of connectors in a temporary locking condition in the initial state of fitting by constituting a toggle mechanism of an operation arm and a fitting arm, and energizing a hook by an energizing means. SOLUTION: In a condition where a locking part 34 of an operation lever 30 is locked on a locking projection 25 of a connector housing 20a, a male connector 60 is inserted into a female connector 20. An engaging projection part 65 of the male type connector 60 enters a guide groove 27, and the engaging projection part 65 strikes on a hook 42 of a fitting arm 60. The engaging projection part 65 pushes up the hook 42 while deflecting an elastic piece 47, and a fitting arm 40 turns in the non- locking direction. In this condition, temporary locking parts 23 and 63 of the male connector 60 and the female connector 20 engage with each other. Since the engaging projection part 65 exists on the inmost side more than the hook 42, both connectors 60 and 20 are temporarily locked. When the male connector 60 is pulled out in the reverse direction of the fitting direction, the engaging projection part 65 strikes the rear surface of the hook 42. When the fitting arm 40 is rotated in the non-locking direction, the male connector 20 and the female connector 20 easily separate from teach other.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a connector with a rear holder in which a connector terminal can be also easily and surely inserted into a housing when the rear holder is assembled into the housing. CONSTITUTION: In a connector 1 with a rear holder, a rear holder 3 having a lock projection 32 for pushing one end of a connector terminal on the tip is connected to a housing 2 through a hinge 5, and a guide part 33 provided on the rear holder 3 is fitted to a guide groove 21 provided on the side plate of the housing 22 in such a manner as to be capable of sliding. This guide groove 21 is provided with a first horizontal part 21a for allowing the guide part 22 to slide when the rear holder 3 is in temporarily locked state, an inclined surface part 21b for inclining and pushing the lock projection 32 of the rear holder 3 into a terminal housing chamber 8; and a second horizontal part 21c for guiding the lock projection 32 from the state in contact with one end of the connector terminal to a prescribed position in the terminal housing chamber 8.
