    • PURPOSE:To suppress mutual interference between a sound signal and a video signal by smoothing record equalizing characteristics for a luminance signal, inserting a comb line filter to a liminance signal circuit and connecting a recording chroma signal circuit to a chroma signal equalizing circuit. CONSTITUTION:Parts 20, 21 are a luminance signal (YFM) extracting LPF and a chroma subcarrier suppressing comb line filter respectively and a circuit 22 uniforms synchronous peak potential and smoothes the characteristics of circuits 24, 25. A luminance signal YFM is obtained from the output of a frequency modulation circuit 27. On the other hand, parts 30, 31 are a chroma signal (CL) extracting BPF and a YFM suppressing filter respectively. A part 39 is a CL recording equalizer and a part 41 is a sound signal compressing circuit. Since said constitution prevents the emphasis of the lower band wave of the YFM, the lower band wave is not leaked into a band of an AFM. In addition, connection of a compressor 41 to a sound circuit prevents a sound signal from being distorted by the YFM. Since the CL recording equalizer 39 suppresses the upper wave of the CL, the distortion of the sound signal by the CL is resolved. Smoothing recording current for the YFM suppresses noises due to the DP (differential phase) of a head system and a circuit 35 in the CL circuit prevent leakage from the sound circuit.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the cost by providing a recording and reproducing head, an erasing head, and a rotary transformer having plural channels connected to the erasing head, and then making the number of turns of the erasing head less than that of the recording and reproducing head. CONSTITUTION:In normal recording mode, a mode changeover switch 11 is turned off and no current flows to an erasing head 10. A luminance signal 14 and a chrominance signal 15 are mixed by a Y/C mixer 13, whose output is amplified by a recording amplifier 4 and applied to a recording head 1. In editing mode, the switch 11 is turned on, and said signal is amplified through an erasing amplifier 12 by using the signal 14 and then applied to the series-connected erasing heads 10 through a rotary transformer 16. The numbers of turns of primary and secondary windings of the transformer 16 are each one; and the number of turns of the primary winding of a rotary transformer 2 is eight at the inside and six at the outside, and that of the secondary winding is four at the inside and three at the outside. The number of turns of winding of the head 10 is four and that of a head 1 is twenty; and amplifiers 4 and 12 have the same level to generate an erasing magnetic field which is five times as intense as an optimum recording magnetic field.

    • PURPOSE:To make color signal processing circuits of NTSC-system and PAL- system VTRs common, by converting the NTSC color signal and the PAL color signal to a low band by carrier signals where the phase is shifted at 90 deg. and 45 deg. in evey one horizontal period of time. CONSTITUTION:A chrominance signal fSC applied to an input terminal 1 has the amplitude made constant in an ACC circuit 11 and is supplied to the first frequency converting circuit 12. An output signal SH of the first VCO 18 is divided into a carrier frequency fLSC of the low-band color signal by a frequency dividing circuit 19 and is applied to a phase selecting circuit 20. The phase selecting circuit 20 sets the phase of an output signal SC so that the phase of the color signal is shifted in every one horizontal time by a prescribed value (90 deg. for the NTSC system and 45 deg. for the PAL system). The output signal SC is multiplied by the output signal of the second VCO having a center frequency fSC in the second frequency (fSC+fLSC) of the sum between them, and this carrier signal is multiplied by the chrominance signal fSC in the first converter 12 to obtain a low-band color signal having the carrier frequency fLSC as a difference signal.

    • PURPOSE:To improve residual erasure at the insertion of jointed recording of a VTR and to achieve reproduction with good quality, by using a head wider in the gap length than track pitch and increasing the current for overlapped write- in than the standard current. CONSTITUTION:A luminance FM signal and a color signal are mixed at a YC mixer 3, and the current is increased while peaking is made at a carrier peaking circuit 4 for around 4MHz only and side band is suppressed, the output current frequency characteristics are as shown in dotted lines in figure. The rate of erasure is increased by increasing the recording current and residual erasure can be improved remarkably. Since the track width Tw is wider than a track pitch Tp, no guard band is caused, and even if an overlapped write track pattern 24 is shifted from a recorded pattern 23, the overlapped signal only is recorded on a tape. Thus, residual erasure can be improved and excellent reproduction can be made.
