摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a power unit which can lessen the malfunction of a load being the output supply destination of a regulator due to the repetition of the detection and cancel of an overvoltage.
SOLUTION: The power unit comprises a regulator 1 and a protection circuit 2 for a regulator. An overvoltage detecting circuit 3 within the protection circuit 2 for a regulator switches off the regulator 1 when it detects the overvoltage. An overvoltage detection frequency judging circuit 4 within the protection circuit 2 for a regulator judges whether overvoltage is detected a specified number of times within a specified time or not based on the output of the overvoltage detecting circuit 3. An overvoltage detection level setting circuit 5 within the protective circuit for a regulator lowers the detection level of the overvoltage detecting circuit 3 when overvoltage is detected a specified number of times within a specified time by the overvoltage detection frequency judging circuit 4.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power managing system for a multiprocessor system. SOLUTION: Power is supplied to an application module connected in a way that it can be attached to and detached from a battery of a controller module. Power supplied to the application module is reduced following with the display showing the inconvenient power supply. Thus, power is saved for the controller module. The controller module is provided with a processor, a power manager and a connector which electrically connects the application module to the controller module so that it can be attached/detached. The power manager supplies power to the application module from the battery through the connector and monitors voltage of the battery. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector device capable of assuring the safety of an information processing device which is different from a video apparatus, corresponding to a currently preset connection mode.
SOLUTION: A series circuit, consisting of a resistor 3 and a first switch 5, is provided between a line L1 connecting an input port 1 with an output port 2, and the ground. A control circuit is provided to control so as to turn on or off the first switch, when a CSYNC signal from the video apparatus or a HSYNC signal from the information processing device is inputted into the input port 1. For example, if the information processing device is connected incorrectly, when the connection mode for the video apparatus is selected, the first switch is switched from turn off to turn on, thus making the input impedance between the line L1 and the ground to be a high impedance.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device that can safely stop an electrolytic capacitor without causing the breakage of the electrolytic capacitor when an input voltage is excessively large. SOLUTION: The power supply device 1 is provided with the electrolytic capacitor C arranged at the DC side of the power supply device 1 in parallel with a load 20, and a protection means 10 that protects the electrolytic capacitor C when an excessively large voltage is inputted to an input of the power supply device 1. The protection device 10 comprises a monitoring circuit 16 that monitors a voltage of the electrolytic capacitor C, a comparator IC1 by which an output is inverted when the voltage of the electrolytic capacitor C reaches a set voltage or higher, a time circuit 17 that makes an output of the comparator IC1 have a time period, and an output circuit that outputs a signal having the time period provided by the time circuit 17 to a control circuit 11 that controls a main switch SW of the power supply device 1. The main switch SW is caused to short-circuit by giving an on-signal between an output of the control circuit 11 and a drive circuit 12, thus stopping the feed of power to the load 20.
