    • PURPOSE:To perform safely and smothly an operation for removing an faulty stack by providing a guide having a sliding surface and fitted at one end thereof rotatably and a stack returning device equipped with a cylinder mechanism moving the guide aslant. CONSTITUTION:When a piston rod 23 of the air cylinder 22 is extended by the operational valve, not shown in the figure, of the cylinder mechanism 26 on the occasion that the stack 3 contacting with a magnet 14 for exfoliation is a faulty one, a pair of guides 17 are rotated clockwise around a pin 20 and projected to the front of a guide plate 27 from a slit 28. At this time, the pair of the guides 17 are separated from the guide plate 27 at a distance E so that the other ends of the guides 17 come to the positions of the stack 3 before the rise thereof. Next, a stack lifter 11 is lowered, the sliding surface 18 of the guide 17 is made to engage with the front end of the receiving stand 5 of the stack 3, and thereby the stack 3 is lowered to the full, whereby the stack 3 and the receiving stand 5 thereof are returned to the positions occupied thereby before the start of the rise, as shown by a chain line.

    • A roll-wave sheet separator is provided which comprises a sheet support for supporting a stack of sheets and a sheet separator mounted adjacent to the stack which comprise a rotatable shaft having a helical peripheral thread coaxial with the shaft, and a follower rotatable around the shaft which follows the helical thread to move along the shaft axis. The follower supports at least one circular element which is preferably freely rotatable. The apparatus further includes a motor for rotating the shaft in one direction to drive the follower and its supported circular elements against the surface of the outermost sheet in the stack so that rotation of the circular element against the uppermost sheet in the stack will shingle that sheet from the stack. A brake is provided for abruptly stopping the rotation of the shaft whereby the follower and its supported element will then move back along the shaft out of engagement with the sheet surface. At this point the sheet may be removed, after which the circular elements are again driven into engagement with the next uppermost sheet to shingle the same.

    • PURPOSE:To perform work without requiring assistance by combining the main and auxiliary magnets and holding the iron plate which is automatically separated by the main magnet and floats with the auxiliary magnet. CONSTITUTION:The narrow thin iron plate 2 is put on the transfer stands 6 and 6' which are projected on the slits 4 and 4' and the transfer stands 6 and 6' travel in the (b) direction. The bundle of the iron plate 2 contacts the main magnets 9 and 9'. Then the table 1 rises and the above-mentioned iron plate 2 contact the limit switch 20. When the terminal 21 of the switch 20 is set to point p2, the table stops rising and when it falls on point p1, the table rises. In this case, the side surface of the iron plate 2 is excited by the magnets 9 and 9'. The upper iron plate floats by the repulsion of both iron plates and the uppermost iron plate is absorbed by the auxiliary magnets 10 and 10'. In this state, when the air cylinder 14 is actuated, the iron plate 2 is pushed forward by the sliding lever 12 and the pawl 13.
