摘要： PURPOSE:To shorten the changeover time of a cam, by selecting desired one of different cam portions integrally or separately manufactured, and by positioning and securing the selected cam portion in the notch of the cam. CONSTITUTION:A cam portion 2, which belongs to a cam 1 and has an integrated construction and different cam curves 3, 4, is moved by a moving member 8 driven by an actuator 5, as the cam portion and the moving member are in a mutually coupled state. The cam portion 2 is accurately stopped in an objective position by a stopper 6 serving as a positioning member. This results in much shortening the changeover time of the cam 1.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent a signature from being damaged by having the lower end of a brush parallel with a chopper blade arranged at both sides of the opening of caps, to which the chopper blade is lowered, slided keeping in touch with the page of the signature which is running in for chopper folding. CONSTITUTION:When the tip end of a signature comes in contact with a paper stopper while the signature folded in parallel is conveyed by a conveyor belt 1 to the direction normal to the page, a chopper blade 24 of a chopper device 2 is lowered. The signature is pushed into a space between caps 7 and 7 by the chopper blade 24 for being held by rollers 8 and 9. In this case, both sides of the signature are moved in a space between belts 1 to the direction of a space assigned to the page, and are released from the belts toward the end of the pushing motion wherein they move to the space between the caps 7 while they slide keeping in touch with brushes 41 and 41. When the thickness of the signature is changed, the height of the brush 41 is changed with a rod 36 adjusted. This constitution can prevent the signature from being stained or damaged because of the signature which accidentally comes in touch with installation members of the chopper blade.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a recorder markedly enhanced in efficiency in cooling a recording head by scanning the head, by a construction wherein a part of a recording material containing member corresponding to the direction of scanning for recording is so shaped that the quantity of an air flow passing toward a recording head is maximized. CONSTITUTION:A ribbon cassette 3 comprises arms 8, each of which is shaped as shown in Fig. B. The upper surface of the arm 8 has a circular cross-sectional shape. In the inside of the arm 8, an ink ribbon 4 is passed in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the figure. When a recording head 6 in Fig. A is scanned rightward by a carriage, an air flow F can smoothly pass, as shown in Fig. B. With a conventional cross-sectional shape of the arm shown in Fig. C, a vortex is generated on the downstream of the arm 8, so that only an insufficient quantity of air is distributed in the direction of the head 6. On the other hand, with the cross-sectional shape in this example, a sufficient quantity of air is led to the head 6, whereby cooling efficiency can be enhanced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a sorter with a paper folder, which is small-sized and low- priced by providing a paper folding comprising a combination paper guide and loop formation means in a paper transport path of a sorter in a copying machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:Paper to be subjected to only the first folding is clamped between a slip roll 14 and a pinch roll 16 and transported, and when it is brought into contact with a stopper 26 or 28, skewing is corrected. On the other hand, when a sensor 50 detects passing of paper, after the lapse of a fixed time, a solenoid 38 is excited to move a pinch roll 44 to the left, so that the paper is passed to a folding pinch roller 54 to form a loop of the paper on the downstream side of the paired rollers. The loop is guided to a folding roll 52 and the folding pinch roll 54 by a guide 46, and folded by both rollers to be fed to a sorter 77. In case of making the second folding, a guide member 56 is moved downward to feed the paper to the second folding guide 80, and the second folding is performed by a folding roll 82 and a folding pinch roll 84.
