    • PURPOSE:To obtain high quality Al from an Al layer in high yield by preheating and compressing continuously fed Al layer, etc., and remove the contained foreign matter therefrom and, thereafter, rapidly melting the residue in a high temp. melting chamber. CONSTITUTION:The high temp. melting chamber 3 is arranged with an adjacent combustion chamber 4 partitioned with a heat conducting partition wall 2 and heated to a high temp. of 1200 deg.C with a gas burner 26 arranged in the melting furnace 1 for waste material, such as the cut layer of Al. The high temp. gas with the burner 20 is supplied into a heat resistant cylinder 29 from an outlet 5 through a retention chamber 6 while continuously carrying in the right direction 36 with a screw blade 30 arranged on the outer periphery of the heat resistant cylinder 29, and the Al layer 18 is supplied into the heat resistant cylinder 29 rotating round a shaft 34 from a charging hole 19. The foreign matter in the Al layer 18 is burnt and removed by compressing while preheating the Al layer. The Al layer from which the foreign matter is removed is supplied into the high temp. melting chamber 3 under pressurizing with the screw blade 10, and after melting at the high temp. without oxidizing, the Al layer 18 is pressurized with a pressurizing blade 11 and discharged into a retention chamber 16 from a bottom part discharging hole 13 of the high temp. melting chamber 3. Then, the Al layer 18 is overflowed in the arrow mark 41 direction and supplied into a molten metal storing furnace from a discharging passage 17 in the high yield.

    • PURPOSE:To control the discharge of cold ash additionally charged and to enhance recovering yield of a metal by arranging an infrared thermo-sensor for detecting the surface temp. of remaining slag to be treated in a crucible above the crucible while avoiding an ascending/descending course of a stirring blade inserting/leaving to/from the crucible. CONSTITUTION:The metal-remaining slag for recovering the metal content is charged into the crucible 2 and an exothermic agent is added to execute the exothermic reaction and the stirring blade 5 is desceneded into the crucible 2 to stir the remaining slag to be treated, and the oxide and the molten metal are separated under a high temp. At this time, the infrared thermo-sensor 8 for detecting the surface temp. of the remaining slag to be treated in the crucible is arranged in a machine frame 1 above the crucible while avoiding the ascending/descending course of the stirring blade 5 inserting/leaving to/from the crucible 2. By this method, the discharge of the cold ash additionally charged into the crucible 2 is controlled. When the surface temp. of the remaining slag exceeds a prescribed temp., the preset quantity of the cold ash is discharged and charged into the crucible and the ascending/descending movement of the stirring blade 5 is controlled with a timer to enhance the metal recovering yield.
