    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil applicator capable of keeping constant the quantity of lubricating oil applied even if the running speed of a filament body to which the lubricating oil is applied is varied. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil applicator includes a lubricating oil tank 2 installed on a base table 1, a lower application roll 6 installed in the lubricating oil tank and adapted to pump up lubricating oil in the lubricating oil tank upward, and an upper application roll 3 brought into contact with the lower application roll to rotate in the reverse directions and capable of continuously applying the lubricating oil pumped up by the lower application roll to the surface of a running filament body. In the applicator, the rotating speeds of the lower application roll and the upper application roll can be tuned to the running speed of the filament body.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a liquid impartment abnormality on line to minimize the assurance of defective finished yarn by sensing the change of receiving quantity caused by traveling yarn having a liquid adhered thereto between a transmitting part and a receiving part. SOLUTION: A high frequency electromagnetic wave transmitted from a transmitting part constituting a sensor part 1 by the instruction (high frequency electromagnetic wave transmission instruction a) from a control part 2 is received by the receiving part of the sensor part 1. Yarn is traveled during this, and when a liquid adhered part is passed, the electromagnetic wave is absorbed by the liquid and attenuated. This change of intensity of the electromagnetic wave (high frequency electromagnetic wave receipt signal b) is recognized in the control part 2 to discriminate the presence or absence of liquid adhesion. When the frequency of liquid adhesion is differed from a prescribed frequency, a signal alarming an abnormality (cutter differential signal c) is transmitted from the control part 2, a cutter 3 is operated to cut the traveling yarn, and the working is interrupted.
