    • PURPOSE:To ensure the side erasion with manual feed of paper by providing a paper size detector which delivers the fence position data in response to the shift position of the fence of a manual paper feed mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A side discrimination code 22 consisting of four magnets, for example, is attached to the outer frame of a cassette 21 at a cassette paper feed part in order to discriminate the size of the paper to be fed. At the same time, a size detecting part 23 consisting of four reed switches, for example, is provided within a copying machine in response to the code 22. Then the size of the present paper is discriminated from the present and preceding data of such a paper size detector, and an erasing light source can be lit up in response to the present paper size. Thus it is possible to perform the side erasion with manual feed of paper by means of a comparatively simple device.

    • PURPOSE:To feed photosensitive paper surely by installing a sheet paper feeding mechanism made up of a one-way clutch, paper feeding rollers and separating pawls, and detaining to the opening of a copier. CONSTITUTION:A feeding mechanism 24 made up of sheet separating pawls 23a, 23b, an axis 25, paper feeding rollers 26a, 26b and a handle 27 is installed in front of a paper feeding cassette in the feeding direction of paper. The sheet P is pushed upward by a middle plate 36 energized by a spring 33. A paper feeding opening of the cassette 21 is made oppposite to an opening 30 of a copier 22, and fixed with an engaging pin 39 and an engaging body 40. When the handle 2 is turned, an engaging spring 44, an engaging piece 45 and the axis 25 are engaged together, and the rollers 26a, 26b rotate with the axis. The paper is separated surely sheet by sheet by separating pawls and fed to rollers 31, 32 of the copier body. When the handle 27 is turned further, the engaing piece 45 is disconnected from a concave part 43 and the axis runs idle. By this way, the paper is fed surely sheet by sheet avoiding fogging by every rotation of the handle.
