    • PURPOSE:To put unnecessary resonance due to a high-order mode wave out of an in-use band by providing low-impedance parts where bosses are provided and low-impedance parts where a waveguide is reduced in height alternately. CONSTITUTION:Low-impedance parts 3 where bosses 2 are provided and low- impedance parts 5 where the waveguide 1 is reduced in height are provided alternately. Low-impedance parts 5 pass only the basic mode wave and cut off the high-order mode wave, so the generated high-order mode wave causes resonance at a frequency depending upon the length l of the low-impedance part 5 shorter than the overall length of the filter in a radio-wave propagation direction. This resonance frequency is sufficiently high, so the unnecessary resonance by the high-order mode wave is put out of the passing band.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a multiplexing characteristic with broad band by inserting an inner conductor connected to a matching end from one end having small inner diameter of a group multiplexer and using an oversize waveguide for a 90 deg. phase difference plate and a 180 deg. phase difference plate. CONSTITUTION:Two circularly polarized waves in frequency fL are multiplexed at a group multiplexer 4 as two circularly polarized waves the same as the polarized wave state on the plane of an antenna 1. The two circularly polarized waves are of the TE11 mode of the basic mode of the circular waveguide and since there exists no axial component in the electric field, the waves are not subjected to the effect of the inner conductor 19. The two circularly polarized waves in the frequency fL are converted into two linearly polarized waves orthogonal to each other by the 90 deg. phase difference plate and the 180 deg. phase difference plate 10 and extracted separately at terminals 16, 17 of a polarizer 12. Since the oversized circular waveguides are used for the phase plates 8 and 10, the broad band characteristic is obtained. Since an exclusive circuit 18 is formed with the oversized waveguide, the resonance of the TM01 due to enclosing is not oscillated and no failure takes place. This characteristic is also applied to two circularly polarized waves in frequency fH.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the coupling between subwaveguides and to decrease the loss, by pvoviding a coupling hole in parallel with a guide axis at a location, 1/2-1/4 of guide wavelength from a tip of a conductor plate distributing power and providing a resistive plate on the same plane as the conductor plate. CONSTITUTION:The conductor plate 4 is provided vertically to an electric field of the basic mode propagating in a main waveguide 1 so as to equally divide the height of the waveguide 1 into two. The coupling hole 6 in parallel with the guide axis is provided at about 1/2-1/4 of guide wavelength from the tip of the conductor plate 4, and the resistive plate 7 is fitted to a part or all of the coupling hole 6. Thus, the electromagnetic waves of the basic mode incident to the waveguide 1 are equally divided into subwaveguides 2 and 3 without being af- fected with the coupling hole 6. The coupling between the waveguides 2 and 3 is decreased. The loss to the basic mode is decreased for the power distribution.
