    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester having no longitudinally inclining means but a crosswise inclining means capable of appropriately automatically controlling its own height. SOLUTION: This combine harvester so operates that, when it enters a paddy field from a dry land to immediately lower the front section and a longitudinal inclination detector detects the chassis 2 to descend forward (to raise the rear section), a crosswise inclining means controls the upheaval of the body, when it often descends backward (raises the front section) while traveling on the paddy field, likewise it controls the upheaval of the body, and when the detected value of the longitudinal inclination detector is zero (or a small value), the harvester is judged to horizontally travel on the dry land and the set height of the vehicle is reduced and the body is lowered. The harvester can surely detects a paddy field and keep the height of the vehicle higher, which improves the traveling performance on a paddy field and the operability because of automatically controlling the height. Also, on the dry land, the harvester prevents its height from being positioned higher, never operates while setting its height higher and prevents a trouble of resulting in rugged fields when harvested.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress lowering of traveling performance due to collapse of grounding posture of a traveling apparatus by increasing stiffness of right and left main supporting members by connecting members and reducing spreading of the lower end side of supporting leg members due to deformation of main supporting members. SOLUTION: Right and left main supporting members 3 formed long in longitudinal direction are arranged at a prescribed interval on the lower side of a machine frame 2 having an engine supporting part 1 as a first means and space between right and left main supporting members are connected by a connecting member 4 and right and left supporting leg members 6 for supporting traveling apparatus are attached to right and left both sides of the connecting member 4. A vertical supporting part 4v and horizontal supporting part 4h are each formed on the upper sides of right and left both end part of the connecting member 4 as a second means and the inside and the lower face of right and left each supporting member 3 are brought into contact with the vertical supporting part 4v and horizontal supporting part 4h to connect them. Further, a recessed part is formed on the upper side of the connecting member 4 as a third means and an engine discharge pipe or muffler is disposed in the recessed part.
