    • PURPOSE:To stably form a toner layer on a developer carrier for a long time by projecting and attaching a soft elastic body, which is placed on a pressing and contacting part between a supporting body having a specific spring plate and the developer carrier from the tip part of the supporting body to a toner amount regulating member. CONSTITUTION:The toner amount regulating member 7 consists of the supporting body 7a having the spring plate with >= 15kg f/mm tensile strength and >= 10kg f/mm bearing force, and the soft elastic body 7b placed on the pressing and contacting part between the supporting body 7a and the developer carrier 6 on the supporting body. In addition, the soft elastic body 7b is projected from the tip of the supporting body 7a to be attached. Thus, contact pressure of the toner amount regulating member 7 to the developer carrier 6 can be decreased drastically; moreover, the tip of the soft elastic member 7b is uniformly pressed in the axis direction and the peripheral direction on the developer carrier even when the toner amount regulating member 7 comes into contact with the developer carrier 6 with low pressure. Therefore, an image of a uniform and stable toner amount can be formed on the developer carrier.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture the rotary particles for display at low cost by grinding plate body consisting of two layers which differ in color and electrostatic charging characteristics in dielectric liquid and have a specific layer thickness ratio, and performing a hot blast treatment and classification and thus obtaining specific Wadell practical spheroidicity and specific particle size. CONSTITUTION:Sheets of a kneaded body 1a of styrene acryl copolymer resin and white titanium oxide and a kneaded body 1b of said resin and black carbon black are put one over the other and run through a rolling machine while heated to form a laminate sheet which has a 20:1-1:20 layer thickness ratio and an about 50mum overall thickness. The laminate sheet after being cooled is ground by a turbo type grinding machine and the hot blast treatment of 300 deg.C and classification are carried out to obtain particles of 5-3,000mum in mean particle size and 0.7-1.0psim in Wadell practical spheroidicity. The particles are dispersed in two-liquid silicone rubber 2, heated and cured in a plate shape, and further dipped in silicone oil 4 and swelled, and thus the particles are suspended in the oil; and electrodes 6 are brought into contact with the top and reverse surfaces to obtain a display device.
