    • PURPOSE:To make the vertical type roller mill excellent in grinding capacity such as biting of particles to be ground by regulating the ratio of radius of curvature of the grinding surface of a grinding roller to the radius of curvature of the groove surface of a grinding race to the range of specified value. CONSTITUTION:A discoid grinding table 3 rotated in the horizontal surface is provided to the inside of a mill casing 13. Further a grinding race 5 having a groove surface of a circular arc-shaped cross section is provided concentrically with the outer circumference of the table on this table 3. A plurality of grinding rollers 6 have the circular arc-shaped grinding faces which are inscribed to the groove surfaces of the grinding race 5 and have prescribed width. These rollers 6 are provided so as to be pushed on the grinding race 5 by the required pressure. Furthermore a raw material feed pipe 2 for supplying material to be ground is provided above the grinding table 3. The ratio (Rrol/Rrac) of the radius of curvature Rrol of the grinding face of the grinding roller 6 to the radius of curvature Rrac of the groove surface of the grinding race 5 is regulated to a range within 0.6-0.75. As a result, the roller mill is made excellent in grinding capacity such as biting of particles to be ground.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the concentration of soot without increasing the density of NOx contained in the exhaust gas by installing a fuel spray atomizer where a plurality of ejection holes are divided into two groups or more, and the adjoining ejection holes are laid out in positions having different distances from the axial center of said atomizer. CONSTITUTION:An atomizer comprises a chip main body 1, a back plate 4, and a cap nut 11 of said atomizer. Fuel 2 is distributed mixing ejection holes 10alpha, 10beta and 10gamma respectively virtually on an equal basis via a fuel supply hole 9alpha through a fuel communication pipe 5 where a plurality of opening are board on the back plate 4 of the atomizer. The fuel 4 and an enhanced fine particle medium 3 are collided and mixed with each other in the respective ejection holes 10alpha, 10beta and 10gamma, turned into more enhanced fine particles, atomized, and ejected from the atomizer. The flow of fuel thus atomized is mixed with the combustion air, thereby forming flames. Six ejection holes 10alpha, 10beta and 10gamma are distributed on a circumference whose radial diameters are different from each other, centering on the axial center of the atomizer. The fuel density in the atomized fuel flow can be shaded while the exhausted NOx density can be reduced by dividing burner flames into two sections.

The valve 28 changes the opening and closing amount of a flow rate on the basis of the signal to adjust the supply amount of water to the mill 18. Further, the supply amount of coal per hr of a coal feeder 16 is constant and the concn. and viscosity of the slurry in the mill 18 are adjusted to desired values.

    • PURPOSE: A slurry mixture which is obtaind by forming slurries by the wet process and mixing 2 slurries different in particle sizes is deashed, dehydrated ane wet-crushed in the presence of a surfactant to give a deashed coal-water slurry which contains reduced content of ashes and has high fluidity even in high coal concentration.
      CONSTITUTION: (A) A slury which is prepared by wet-crushing coal until the weight-average particle size becomes 30W80 micrometers and (B) another slurry which is prepared by wet-crushing coal until the weight-average particle size becomes 5W20 micrometers are mixed so that the weight ratio becomes 2/8W8/2, then deashed or each coal slurry is deashed, then mixed. The resultant slurry is dehydrated until the water content becomes less than 40wt%, then wet-crushed in the presence of a surfactant, preferably an anionic or nonionic surfactant to give the objective deashed coal-water slurry.

    • PURPOSE:To measure continuously the viscosity of slurry by installing a pressure drop measuring instrument and a flow meter in some section of piping, and letting the slurry flow through the piping. CONSTITUTION:The flow meter 49 which measures the flow rate of the slurry is provided on a differential pressure measurement line 41 at the exit side of a pump 51. The differential pressure measurement line 41 has a smooth internal surface and a differential pressure gauge is fitted in some section by using a flange 43, etc. The differential pressure gauge 42 uses a diaphragm type so as to prevent the slurry from flowing in and freezing, and the pressure of the slurry is received by a diaphragm and sent to a differential pressure transmitter 46 through a capillary tube 44 which is charged with silicone oil. The slurry E is sucked from a samp tank 52 bu a pump 51 and admitted intp the measurement line 41, and its flow rate and differential pressure are measured by the flow meter 49 and differential pressure gauge 42. Signals from the differential pressure transmitter 46 and a flow rate oscillator 50 are processed by a computing element 47 to calculate and display the viscosity of the slurry on an indicator 48 as well as the slurry mean flow velocity and differential pressure in the piping.
