    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise generated by an actuator and the like while ensuring braking responsiveness at an initial braking. SOLUTION: This brake control device for vehicle comprises: a braking member arranged so as to have a clearance with respect to a braked member rotating integrally with a wheel; electric motors 11, 23 which generate force for pressing the braking member after the braking member is moved so as to abut against the braked member; and a control means for controlling the force generated by the electric motors based on an operation of a brake operation pedal 60 or the like. The control means detects a vehicle speed as an operating condition of the vehicle, and controls the force generated by the electric motors by switching contact between a SW2 and SW5 so as to change the speed of the braking member in response to the detected vehicle speed at the time of moving of the braking member to the braked member. Accordingly, at high speed, the speed of each of the electric motors is increased and the braking responsiveness is ensured. At low speed, the vehicle speed of each of the electric motors is reduce whereby the noise is reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the braking feeling and reduce the cost. SOLUTION: In this electric brake device 10, a digital converter 14 converts the depression force of a brake pedal 12 into an electric signal, and a controller 2 increases the torque of a driving motor 16 in accordance with the increase of the depression force on the basis of the electric signal to increase the vehicle braking force in accordance with the increase of the depression force. Here, a voltage switching device 24 is operated to reduce the fluctuation of the torque to the fluctuation of the depression force in an area of low depression force, whereby the fluctuation of the vehicle braking force to the fluctuation of the depression force can be reduced in the area of low depression force. That is, in the area of low depression force, the delicate difference of the depression force brings the delicate difference in the vehicle braking force, so that the braking of the vehicle can be finely executed in ordinary braking, and the braking feeling can be improved. As this device dispenses with a digital converter of high accuracy used in a conventional device, the cost can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid pressure brake system capable of actuating a pump for drawing hydraulic fluid from a sub-reservoir different from a main reservoir for supplying hydraulic fluid to a master cylinder without reducing the quantity of hydraulic fluid in the sub-reservoir. SOLUTION: When a pump 42 is started immediately before the start of TRC or VSC control or during initial checking, by making pressure booster valves 60 and 78 and pressure reducing valves 68 and 80 to be in communicated states, the delivery side of the pump 42 and the hydraulic fluid chamber 102 of a sub-reservoir 40 are short-circuited. Further, a main liquid passage shutting- off valve 30 is made to be in a shut-off state, and thereby the flowing of hydraulic fluid discharged by the pump 42 to a main reservoir 38 after passing through a master cylinder 10 is prevented. Since the hydraulic fluid discharged by the pump 42 is passed through the pressure booster and reducing valves 60, 68 and, etc., and returned to the suction side of the pump 42, the reduction of the quantity of hydraulic fluid in the sub-reservoir 40 is suppressed.
