    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain safe cancellable biometrics with less deterioration of accuracy to displacement or distortion of fingerprint. SOLUTION: A client extracts a plurality of feature points and information for identifying each feature point (identification information) from a fingerprint of an individual in registration, randomly creates a transformation parameter for each feature point, and converts the coordinates and direction thereof. The converted identification information (template) is transmitted to an authentication server and registered in a storage part. The identification information and transformation parameter of each feature point are stored in a user's storage medium. In individual authentication, the client extracts feature points from the fingerprint of the individual, and identifies the feature points by use of the identification information in the storage medium. With respect to each identified feature point, a corresponding transformation parameter is read from the storage medium to be converted, and the converted information is transmitted to the authentication server.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic system by particle radiation in which the number of electromagnetic power sources can be reduced and which can continue treatment even when either one of the power sources is broken down, and also to provide a method for switching a beam course thereof. SOLUTION: The system comprises two electromagnetic power source devices 42A and 42B having groups of power sources corresponding to groups of electromagnets provided for second beam transport systems 5A to 5E, and two load switching devices 43A and 43B having groups of switches corresponding to the groups of electromagnets and which perform switching so as to connect the group of power sources of the corresponding electromagnetic power source device to the group of electromagnets concerned with a selected treatment room. The system is controlled so as to connect a group of power sources of one of the two electromagnetic power source devices to the group of electromagnets concerned with the first treatment room, and so as to connect the group of power sources of the other of the two electromagnetic power source devices to the group of electromagnets concerned with the next treatment room.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively construct a highly reliable multiplex system in a short period, in which faults can be mutually monitored between computers and quickly restored independently of the loads of a network between the computers, by utilizing general technology such as a general network and general computers.
      SOLUTION: In order to mutually monitor between a plurality of computers, two independent routes, i.e. a general LAN1 102 and a general LAN2 103, are used. Network drivers also are separated into two parts corresponding to respective routes 102, 103. Inner buses are separated into a management bus 120 in which a telegram flow rate is fixed and which is used for controlling a CPU and an extension bus 121 in which a telegram flow rate is changed and which is used for communication with the CPU. A driver of a system switching control (LXP) board 116 transmits/receives fault information signals by a poling method without executing interruption processing 118. The system switching control (LXP) board 116 is provided with a CPU restart (reset) function from the other system, a CPU stop function from the other system and a CPU stop function of its own system.
