    • PURPOSE:To detect the suction air amount in a low suction operation adequately by detecting the suction air amount of one cylinder group and the other cylinder group depending on the mean value of the outputs for suction air detecting means of one suction system and the other suction system. CONSTITUTION:Control units U-1 and U-2 carry out the control of the right bank 1a and the left bank 1b independently respectively, and in a low suction operation time in which throttle valves 8 and 13 are almost fully closed, and the suction is carried out by passing mainly through bias passages 16 and 17, the suction air is detected depending on the mean value of the outputs of an air flow meter 7 for the right bank 1a and an air flow meter 12 for the left bank 1b. The found suction air amounts are utilized for controlling the right bank 1a and the left bank 1b. In the operation other than the low suction operation, the suction air amount for controlling the right bank 1a is detected depending on the output of the air flow meter 7 for the right bank 1a, while the suction air amount for controlling the left bank 1b is detected depending on the output of the air flow meter 12 for the left bank 1b.

    • PURPOSE:To make an inspection and an adjustment speedy and efficient by an automatization for the operation of an internal combustion engine by performing the inspection and the adjustment for the automatic operation in the manner of transmitting signals of the detected number of rotation for the internal combustion engine, the number of rotation for a load side and an exhaust gas density, to a control part. CONSTITUTION:A main body part 5 is made to form a room for the inspection and the adjustment, which is surrounded by soundproofing walls. A driving device to drive a starting device and a fuel preinjection device 22 to supply the fuel for the start to the internal combustion engine are installed in an engine starting part. A revolving shaft 26 to apply the load to the engine and an oscillating operation device 29 to oscillate the engine are included in a load part 7. Adjusting tools, 33 for the opening degree of a low speed throttle, 34 for the fuel adjusting valve, and the driving device 35 for the throttle opening/closing are included in a carburetor adjusting part 8. Sensors, 44 for the number of the engine rotation, 45 for the number of rotation in the load side and 46 for the exhaust gas are made to form a sensor part. Then, each signal for the number of rotations for the engine and the load side, and the exhaust gas density, which are detected by the sensors 44, 45 and 46 respectively are transmitted to the control part, whereby the inspection and the adjustment for the automatic operation are performed by controlling with these signal informations and specified values being settled beforehand.
