    • PURPOSE:To provide a ship propulsion unit where a lower case is able to get high propulsive efficiency in holding down any drag to be received from water to smallness in the range of a specified tilt angle. CONSTITUTION:In this ship propulsion unit, transmitting engine driving force to a propeller via a power transmission mechanism housed in a shell part 2a and rotating and driving this propeller, while varying an inflow angle of water to the shell part 2a attending on a tilt operation centered with a tilt shaft, sectional from in front of a shell part 2a along the inflow direction of water is made up so as to maintain a nearly streamline shape within the range of variations in an inflow angle of water. Since the sectional from of the front of the shell part 2a of a lower case 2 is kept in the nearly streamline shape within the variation range of the inflow angle of water to the shell part 2a, this water flows along the shell part 2a without any resistance, therefore any drag from water, the lower case 2 receives, is held down to smallness, whereby yet higher propulsive efficiency is secured to this ship propulsion unit.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a propeller driving mechanism from damage even if driftwood or the like collides with a propeller machine, by constituting the bottom front edge of a propeller machine casing with an elastic material. CONSTITUTION:A propeller machine 18 is vertically and laterally turnably mounted to a transom 12 of a ship body 10. A propeller driving mecahnism consisting of a gear mechanism 40 is provided to the inside of a bottom casing 36 of the propeller machine 18. A front edge of the casing 36 is constituted by an elastic material 38 of rubber or the like. In this way, even if driftwood or the like moved along a ship bottom collides against the propeller machine 18, the driving mechanism is never damaged.
    • 目的:为了防止螺旋桨驱动机构即使漂流木等与螺旋桨机碰撞,也可以通过用弹性材料构成螺旋桨机壳的底部前缘。 构成:螺旋桨机18被竖直和横向可转动地安装在船体10的横梁12上。由螺旋桨机构40组成的螺旋桨驱动装置设置在螺旋桨机18的底部壳体36的内部。前部 壳体36的边缘由橡胶等的弹性材料38构成。 以这种方式,即使沿着船底移动的漂流木等与螺旋桨机18碰撞,也不会损坏驱动机构。
