    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for cooling the inside surfaces of the flanges and fillets of a shape effectively and uniformly without generating collision trouble. SOLUTION: A pair of side guides 11a, 11b are provided on both sides of a conveyance pass line P of a wide flange beam 1 approachably, separably and movably and cooling nozzles 22a, 22b, 30a, 30b for cooling the inside surfaces of the flanges 1fa, 1fb and the surface of the web 1w of the wide flange beam 1 above and below the side guides. Injection angles of these cooling nozzles 22a, 22b, 30a, 30b are made adjustable with links 25a, 25b, 33a, 33b and cylinders 26a, 26b, 34a, 34b and, by detecting the relative positions of the outside surfaces of the flanges 1fa, 1fb of the wide flange beam 1 and the side guides 11a, 11b which stand opposite to the flanges, the injection angles of the cooling nozzles 22a, 22b, 30a, 30b are adjusted in accordance of the detected relative positions.
