    • PURPOSE:To make changing of cam unnecessary by adjusting the amount of contact of a roll that is in contact with a forming cam provided separately and a roll that is in contact with a knock out cam, and thereby controlling sliding of a pin fitted in a die forming hole in accordance with a formed contact product. CONSTITUTION:In changing the length of the leg of a composite contact W of rivet type, the amount of movement of a lever by a cam 17 is adjusted automatically by moving a roll 19 in accordance with the change of size of the leg, and fixing to the lever 12, and a pin 5 is protruded in the direction of a die 4 through rods 11, 10, according to the width of adjustment. The amount of contact of a roll 18 to a cam 16 is changed in the same way, and the amount of movement of caulking of the contact material can be changed freely.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite contact with excellent durability, capable of improving bond strength of an interface by a little silver alloy, eliminating waste in manufacturing and exhibiting stable contact performance for a long period.SOLUTION: A composite contact includes: a flange with a large diameter formed in one end part of a base part with a small diameter; a contact part made of silver alloy, constituting the upper surface part of the flange; and a foot made of copper alloy in which a large diameter part constituting the lower surface part of the flange and the base part with the small diameter is integrally formed. A method for manufacturing the composite contact comprises: the primary molding step of bonding a copper alloy wire 12 and a silver alloy wire 13 while extending an outer diameter of the silver alloy wire 13 to an inner diameter of a hole 21 of a molding die in the state that an extended diameter of the copper alloy wire 12 is limited by the inner peripheral surface of the hole 21 by forging the copper alloy wire 12, and the silver alloy wire 13 with an outer diameter smaller than that of the copper alloy wire 12 in an abutted state against each other in the hole 21, to form a primary compact consisting of a silver alloy part and a copper alloy part; and the secondary molding step of forging the silver alloy part, a bonded interface between the silver alloy part and the copper alloy part, and one end part including the copper alloy part in the primary compact to form the flange.

    • PURPOSE:To forge a conductive piece of high quality and high accuracy by shifting a pressure punch and a die to the side opposite to a notched groove and deforming a metallic bar between the pressure punch and a fixed knock pin. CONSTITUTION:The inserting part 19 of a knock pin 17 is inserted from the side opposite to the notched groove of a die 11 to the penetrated hole 12 of the die 11, and a metallic bar 23 cut to specified length is inserted into the hole 12 from notched groove side by a guide punch 21. A pin 17 is retreated by required distance by this insertion and fixed at the position P. Under this condition, the punch 21 is replaced by a pressure punch 22, and the end face 22a of the punch 22 is brought into contact with the side 11a of the die 11 to close the notched groove 13 of the die 11. The punch 22 is extruded and moved with the die 11, and the metallic bar 23 is deformed between the punch 22 and pin 17, and a conductive piece 14 in which a flat plate is attached to the end of solid handle 15 is formed. Then, the die 11 is elastically returned to an original position by a spring 27, and the conductive piece 14 is pushed out from the die 11, by the pin 17.
