    • PURPOSE:To make a small-sized unit and improve a cooling efficiency by a method wherein generated heat is transferred outside of a clutch device by a heat pipe and diminished by a heat exchanging with a cooling medium at the outside of the unit. CONSTITUTION:Heat pipe 17 for use in recovering the generated heat from a heating unit is passed through the center part of an output shaft 2, its right end is projected into a rotating body 14, its left end is projected outside of the output shaft 2. The projected ends are surrounded by a heat exchanger unit 20 provided with a supplying port 19 and a discharging port 20 for the cooling medium. As a result, a heat generated by magnetic powders and friction between the contact surfaces of the rotating bodies 11, 16 and transferred to the left end part of the heat pipe 17 through the rotating body 16 is transmitted to the left end under an action of the heat pipe 17. The heat is transferred to the outside of the unit by a heat exchanging operation with the cooling medium flowing through the heat cxchanger unit 17.

    • PURPOSE:To permit exact operation of a driving mechanism by a necessary power suitable to the magnitudes of loads by using a system in which the continuous output of a motor can be alternately switched to a high-speed transmission mechanism and a low-speed transmission mechanism by the ON or OFF operation of an electromagnetic clutch. CONSTITUTION:When a low-speed transmission mechanism L is in connected state nad a rotator 21 begins to turn from the point (a), just before the point (c), a detector 34 is turned ON by a dog 32. By this, the magnetism of the first electromagnetic clutch 7 is erased and a transmission mechanism 2 is switched to quiescent state, while the second electromagnetic clutch 17 is excited and a high-speed transmission mechanism H is connected. On the principle, the rotator 21 is moved from the point (b) at which low-speed rotation is ended to high- speed rotation, and just before the point (a), the detector 33 is turned ON by a dog 82. As a result, the transmission mechanism is continuously operated from high-speed side H to low-speed side L, and the rotator 21 is likewise turned continuously while being switched to low-speed and high-speed sides.
