SOLUTION: For example, a light input pulse train 31 is incident by a TM mode, divided into first and second routes 18 and 19 at the Y branching part of a Y branch circuit 13 and the light pulse trains are modulated by the modulation part of each. A pulse train 33 is transformed from a TM mode to a TE mode at the first route 18. A pulse train 34 is wave-synthesized by keeping the TM mode at the second route 19 on the other hand. At each mode propagating a delay circuit 15, time delay at the time of emitting varies depending on the propagating constant difference between them. At the time of properly setting the length of the waveguide of the circuit 15 between the pulse trains including a time delay difference at a Y branch wave synthesizing circuit 16 so as to overlap the other pulse train, the light pulse train 35 (TM&TE coexisting) of a light output 20 provided with a double transmission rate is made.

Moreover, a material whose dielectric constant and refractive index are small with respect to the LN like SiO2 or polymide, etc., is selected as a buffer layer 103.

CONSTITUTION: A flexible cable 2 inserted from the mouth to the stomach of a patient 1 is composed in such a way that its tip on a stomach side is formed as a video input part 3, and it comprises the first video input part 3A and the second video input part 3B separated from each other. Light outputted via each optical fiber in the cable 2 is inputted to an optic/electric signal converter 7, and converted to an electrical signal (video signal) in accordance with the intensity of the light, and inputted to a display device 8. The video from the first video input part 3A and the one from the second video input part 3B are recognized by both eyes 13A, 13B of an observer 12 at nearly same time via a lenticular lens on a display surface 8A. In this way, the observer 12 obtains the stereoscopic vision of an image-picked up video via the display device 8.

Voltages induced on the optical waveguides 101, 102 can be shifted from initial values to a voltage value equivalent to the voltage value when a long term elapses in a short time, and the fluctuation quantity of a bias voltage after initial fluctuation can be suppressed to nearly zero.
