    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire saw cutting device capable of quickly detecting breakage of a wire. SOLUTION: The wire saw cutting device includes guide rollers 1 to which a wire 2 is hung around a plurality of times, a motor 9 for running the wire 2 by turning the guide rollers 1, and a slurry nozzle 7 for adhering conductive alkaline slurry 4 on a surface of the wire 2, and cuts a silicon ingot 6 by the wire 2 which has the alkaline slurry 4 adhered on the surface thereof. The wire saw cutting device has a calculating machine 15 which measures cutting resistance while the silicon ingot 6 is cut by the running wire 2 adhered with the alkaline slurry 4 on the surface and determines presence or absence of the breakage of the wire 2 based on the detected result of the cutting resistance.
