    • PURPOSE:To enable judgement as to whether a yarn connection is acceptable or not, upon completion of an ending operation by providing an acoustic sensor, a filter circuit, a comparison means and a logic output means for judging that the yarn connection is proper, when a comparison output is given during the ending operation. CONSTITUTION:When a yarn connection is proper, a high-frequency sound therefor is detected with an acoustic sensor 19, and a frequency component is filtrated through a filter circuit 21. A comparison means 25 compares the signal level with a reference value, and for any signal level exceeding the reference value, outputs a comparison signal. In addition, a logic output means 27 judges that an ending process is proper, when the comparison signal is generated during the ending process, and outputs a signal accordingly. If a yarn connection is improper, a low-frequency acoustic sound is generated. Almost no frequency component, therefore, is filtrated with the filter circuit 21 and no signal is outputted. Consequently, it is known whether the yarn connection is proper or not, upon completion of the ending operation.
