    • PURPOSE:To provide recording signals which are suitable to a high density recording by generating an information string that is generated by adding one control bit to a (k) bit impressed information string in order to add pilot signals. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a circuit 1 which adds control bit 0 or 1 to an impressed information string, a modulator 2, a circuit 3 which adds a known information train to the information train, a circuit 4 which performs a frequency analysis of the train, a memory 5 which temporarily stores the analysis result, a comparator 6, a circuit 7 which selects an output and a memory 8 which records plural modulated strings. Zero or 1 control signal is added to the impressed information string for every 24 bits by the circuit 1, the string is inputted to the I-NRZI modulator 2 and outputted at an Fch frequency as a modulated string with a word which has 25 bits. On the other hand, the generated pilot frequency is 1/150 of the Fch and corresponds to equivalent of six words (150divided by 25=6) where one word has 25 bits. A spectrum of Fch/150 frequency is obtained against all 26 combinations of 0 and 1 control bits which are added to one period of pilot signals, store them in the memory 8 and pilot signals are generated by obtaining a largest modulated string which has a largest power and by impressing it to the output.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type image display device equipped with a variable diaphragm device 12 capable of controlling an absolute position at a low cost.SOLUTION: A projection type image display device includes: optical modulation devices 2, 3, and 4 for modulating light beams emitted from a light source 14 according to image information; a projection optical device 1 for expanding and projecting modulation light emitted from the optical modulation devices 2, 3, and 4; and a variable diaphragm device 12 disposed between the light source 14 and the optical modulation devices 2, 3, and 4 to adjust light amount of the light beams. The variable diaphragm device 12 is equipped with shielding members 19 and 24 rotated by a stepping motor 15, and of which rotation ranges are mechanically limited. A phase of the stepping motor 15 while the shielding member 19 is positioned at an end of the rotation range, is specified as a predetermined phase.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease setting items as far as possible by providing the above device with a program information video recording function and to make it possible to easily set video recording reservations by using the special codes corresponding to programs, such as GC codes. CONSTITUTION:Fig. illustrates a remote control device of this device and has a G code reservation setting button 1, an information reservation button 2, a video recording reservation button 3, numeric keys 4 and a cruciform key 5. A user sets a video recording reservation setting mode by pushing the information reservation button 2 when the user desires the reservation again during reproducing of the recorded tape. A warning is displayed and the intended set mode is ended when the program information is not recorded at the tape under reproduction. An information reservation setting screen is displayed and the user sets the recording date with the crucible key 5 when the program information is reproduced. The video recording reservation list is displayed and the user is able to check the reservation contents when the information reservation button 2 is pushed once more. The operation of the video recording reservation setting modes ends and the reservation is complete by pushing the video recording reservation button 2 again when there are no mistakes or changes.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a high frequency pilot signal close to an encoding period by performing encoding based on a charge value in code word further finely viewing a CDS provided in the code word and known CDS information and forming the code word not propagating to next encoding. CONSTITUTION:A random 16 bits digital signal is inputted to an I-NRZI encoder 3, and an output two bits of a CDS control signal generation circuit 2 is added to the MSB side of the information to be made 18 bits parallel. Four kinds of signals whose CDS values are different from each other are formed by the encoder 3. A charge in the code word is controlled in the period 60 of the pilot signal and GCM 6 bits, and charge values are detected by detection circuits 4. Further, a rate of six stages is formed in the period by a SET CLK to the circuit 2, and the correspondence to the charge values depend on the LCM of 18 and 60. The error of the charge values is detected by circuits 6, and the absolute value sum DELTACDS of the error is imparted to a minimum value holding circuit 7, and top two bits obtaining the minimum value are returned to the encoder 3, and a switch is shifted and modulated. It is inputted to a parallel/serial conversion circuit 8 and outputted to a transmission circuit in series.
