    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave jointly used melting furnace which relieves a temperature gradient at the melting surface, restraining generation of incomplete combustion objects such as a precursor of dioxin group at the time of melting wastes such as municipal waste, municipal waste burned ash, sludge, organic sludge caused by water treatment, industrial waste, contaminated soil and the like, and rapidly raises the temperature of melted objects up to combustion/melting temperature. SOLUTION: This melting furnace comprises: an outer sleeve 34 which reserves the melted objects 41 and has a slag port 35 at the center of a bottom part; a furnace ceiling 37 which is loosely fitted into an inner part of the outer sleeve 34 to be disposed; a combustion device 39 which is disposed at the furnace ceiling 37; a furnace rotating device 36 which rotates and drives the outer sleeve 34 in the circumferential direction of the furnace ceiling 37; and a main combustion chamber 43 which is formed between the furnace ceiling 37 and the outer sleeve 34. A melting surface 42 in a reversal conical shape is formed toward the slag port 35 from an outer circumferential edge of the furnace ceiling 37 by a surface layer of the melted objects 41 facing the main combustion chamber 43, and a microwave exposure device 49 for exposing the microwave to an upper side part of the melting surface 42 is provided at the furnace ceiling 37. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravity separator which efficiently recovers a useful metal such as copper form the melted slag, or the like, of waste materials by separating an object by using a specific gravity difference. SOLUTION: The gravity separator includes: a cylindrical rotary drum 3 which rotates around a rotary shaft center inclined at a prescribed angle to a level, and has a conical part 2; a discharge part 7 connected to a small diameter opening 5 formed at the top part of the conical part 2 positioned at the lower end side of the rotary drum 3; a separation object charging part 20 which is inserted into the rotary drum 3 from a large diameter opening 6 at the side of the upper end of the rotary drum 3 and whose tip part opening faces the top part of the conical part 2; and a water stream adjustment means arranged between the tip part opening of the separation object charging part 20 and the small diameter opening 5 of the conical part 2. The rotary drum 3 has a spiral groove 15 in the inner peripheral surface thereof to send out the separated matter settled in the drum toward the small diameter opening 5 with the rotation around the rotary shaft center. In the discharge part 7, feed water means 28 and 29 to feed separating water of a predetermined flow rate and of a prescribed amount to the rotary drum are connected to a separated matter discharge means 32 to discharge the separated matter flowing into the discharge part 7. The water stream adjustment means holds resistors 25 each having a predetermined specific gravity and a prescribed shape in a casing 24 which is opened by expanding its diameter toward the tip part opening of the separation object charging part 20 and has a water flow characteristic. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve separation efficiency by a method in which a mixture agitated by the rotation of a cylinder is separated into an upper part and a lower part correspondingly to the difference in specific gravity a substance of larger specific gravity is released from an opening on the front side by a spiral projected stripe, and a substance of smaller specific gravity is released from an opening on the rear side along the inclination in the bottom surface of the cylinder. SOLUTION: While a cylinder 10 is rotated in the fixed direction X by driving a motor 5, a mixture (a) comprising at least two components having different values of specific gravity is supplied into a hopper 32 to be charged from a charge pipe 33 into the front part 11 of the cylinder 10, the mixture (a) is agitated, a substance of larger specific gravity is separated to a lower layer, and a substance of smaller specific gravity is separated to an upper layer. The substance of larger specific gravity is passed between an outer pipe 15 and an inner pipe 28 from an opening 13 on the front side by a screw conveyer by the rotation of a spiral projected stripe 20 and dropped from the discharge cylinder 27 of a housing 25 into a tank 30. The substance of smaller specific gravity is conveyed by a screw conveyer by the rotation of another spiral projected stripe 21 and dropped from an opening 14 on the rear side into another tank 31.
