    • PURPOSE: To permit taking-out of an intermediate product in a blast furnace in an airtight state by connecting seal chambers having respectively feeding-out valves and seal valves at the top and bottom to the bottom of the blast furnace and providing moving chambers via press contact device on the lower side of the lower seal valves.
      CONSTITUTION: An upper seal valve 5a is opened and after an upper feeding-out valve 4a is opened to feed out an intermediate product of a high temp. at a specified rate from the discharging hole 3 in a furnace bottom 2 to the inside of a seal chamber 8a, the valve 4a then the valve 5a are closed. A control valve 9a in a hermetic piping 19a is opened to release the pressure in the chamber 8a in succession to the above-mentioned operation. The valve 9a is then closed and a lower seal valve 12a and a lower feeding-out valve 11a are successively opened to feed out the intermediate product into a moving chamber 16a. The valves 11a, 12a are successively closed finally and after the connection by a press contact device 19a is released, the chamber 16a is moved to the succeeding stage. The taking-out by the other system is performed simultaneously or with a time lag.

On the other hand, the coke-contg. bauxite briquettes or aluminum ores in a briquette bunker 5 are preheated by the high temp. gas ascending through many small holes of the pipe 4 during falling in the pipe 4 and are reduced in the bottom end part of the pipe 4, by which the ores are made into a crude Al alloy.
