    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a substituted phenoxyazabicyclooctane derivative [compound (V)] in a high yield by using readily available raw materials and to provide a new 2-halogenophenoxyazabicyclooctane derivative [compound (III) and compound (V)]. SOLUTION: The method for producing a substituted phenoxyazabicyclooctane derivative represented by the formula (V) comprises reacting an azabicyclool derivative represented by formula (I) with a halogenobenzene compound represented by the formula (II) in the presence of a base at ≤20°C to give a 2-halogenophenoxyazabicyclooctane derivative represented by the formula (III) and reacting the obtained 2-halogenophenoxyazabicyclooctane derivative represented by the formula (III) with an alcohol compound represented by the formula (IV), wherein R 1 and R 2 are each a substituent group-containing 1-20C alkyl group or the like; n is 1 or 2; R 3 is a 1-20C haloalkyl group or the like; and X is a halogen.
