The management computers store migration path management information which is information representing configuration of a migration path which can include three or more file storage units arranged like a cascade, and path history information which is information representing history of change of the configuration of the migration path. Whenever the configuration of the migration path is changed, the management computers update the migration path management information to the information representing the configuration of the migration path after change, and add the information representing the configuration of the migration path after change to the path history information.
