    • PURPOSE:To exactly decide whether the contents of a memory can be held by a power source for backup after a power source of a system has been turned off or not, by constituting the system so that a switch which has been provided between a power source switch and a nonvolatile memory becomes off at the time of checking a power supply voltage of the power source for backup, and cuts off a supply of the system power source. CONSTITUTION:At the time of checking a power supply voltage value of a power source 3 for backup, a switch 9 is turned off, and a system power source 1 is detached from a memory 4. In this state, the memory 4 is operated by a power source supplied from the power source 3 through a rectifying element (diode) 6, and an input voltage value of an A/D converter 8 in that case shows a voltage value of the power source 3 being in a backup state. In this case, even when the system is in an operating state, the voltage value of the power source 3 being in a backup state can be read, and the reliability against holding of the contents of the memory 4 due to a power source trouble in the course of backup can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of data by securing such constitution where data are transmitted from plural memories by accessing these memory areas from a central processing part and then transferring only those data which are coincident with each other with the highest frequency at a majority logic circuit to the central processing unit. CONSTITUTION:When a computer part (central processing part) 1 reads data out of a memory system, an address showing the area of the data to be read out is delivered to an address bus 7 from the part 1. The data on the corresponding addresses are sent to data buses 13-15 via memory areas 3-5 respectively. The coincidence or dissidence among these data is confirmed by an AND circuit 18 and the confirmed data are sent to a NOR circuit 12. Here only the data coincident with each other and received from at least >=2 memory areas are sent to a data bus 6 of the part 1. In such a way, the data reliability is improved in a memory system.
