摘要： PURPOSE:To enable existing LNG tankers to conform to the IMO code without need for carrying out a large conversion by fixing cross members made of normal steel between secondary protective walls made of low-temperature steel, of an LNG tank, and circulating hot water through a space formed by said secondary protective walls and said cross members. CONSTITUTION:In an existing LNG tanker, in which a secondary protective wall 2 for an LNG gas tank 1 is made of low-temperature steel while cross members 3 fixed on its inner surface are made of normal steel, an isolation part plate 4 made of low-temperature steel is additionally provided between the cross members 3 and the tank 1, being fixed to the inner end face flanges 3a of the cross members 3. Hot water is circulated through a space formed by the secondary protective wall 2, the isolation part plate 4, and the cross members 3. Thereby, a low-temperature breakage of the cross member made of normal steel can be prevented while enabling an existing LNG tanker to conform to the IMO code without need for carrying out a large conversion.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a carrier ship satisfying the IMO code, by providing beams made of common steels on the rear surface of a secondary insulating wall made of low temperature-resistant steels, and as well by circulating heated water or air through the space between the secondary insulating wall and the shell plating of a hull so that the common steel beams are prevented from being broken upon leakage of LNG. CONSTITUTION:The secondary insulating wall 3 of an LNG storage tank 2 is made of low temperature-resistant steels (Class E steels), and beams 4 made of common steels (Class A steels) are secured to the rear surface of the secondary insulating wall 3. Hot water which is obtained such that sea water is pumped up by a pump 8 through a sea water introduction port 13, and is heated by a heater 9 is circulated through a ballast tank 6 between the secondary insulating wall 3 and the shell plating 5 of a hull, or heated air is circulated through the ballast tank 6 into which no ballast water is filled. With this arrangement, the inside of the ballast tank 6 may be heated by hot water or heated air upon leakage of LNG so that low temperature damage of the common steel beams 4 may be prevented, thereby an existing LNG tanker may be modified into the one satisfying the IMO code.

CONSTITUTION:A hold 5 of a bulk cargo ship is constructed to be cylindrical, and a cylindrical casing 15 is equipped to be rotatable in the center of the circle of an upper hatch of the hold. The cylindrical casing 15 is provided with a cargo entrance 8 in the lower end, a vertical screw conveyor 10 inside, and a take-out port 33 in the upper part. Besides, a scraper 7 to scrape up bulk cargo in the hold toward the cargo entrance 8 is equipped to be vertically swayed. Since the hold is shaped cylindrical and the vertical screw conveyor and the scraper are provided to be rotatable, bulk cargo in the hold can be unloaded efficiently without any remainder.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make an existing LNG tanker conform to the IMO code without need for carrying out large conversion by bonding cross members of normal steel to the inner face of a secondary protective wall made of low-temperature steel, fixing a plate made of low-temperature steel to the inner end face of each cross member through a stringer member, and installing low-temperature steel plates on which a heat insulating member is laminated, between these plates. CONSTITUTION:The secondary protective wall 4 of an LNG gas tank is made of low-temperature steel, and cross members 5 bonded to its inside is made of normal steel. A plate 10 made of low-temperature steel is fixed to the inner end face of each cross member 5 through a stringer 9. A low-temperature steel plate 13, on which a heat insulating member 12 is laminated, is installed across each plate 10. Thereby, even if the LNG tank is broken causing LNG to leak out, the low-temperature breakage of the cross members 5 can be prevented, while enabling an existing LNG tanker to conform to the IMO code without need for carrying out large conversion.

CONSTITUTION:A powder carbo throw-in hopper 5 connected to the inside of a hold 4 and an exhausting device 6 to suck the air in the hold 4 only for exhausting to the outside are installed on a deck 2. A number of air blow-in ports 12 are provided on the circumferential wall of an entrance 5a of the powder cargo throw-in hopper 5 circumferentially at proper intervals. The bulk cargo thrown into the hopper entrance 5a is conveyed into the hold together with air streams. The air inside the hold is exhausted from the exhausting device 6. Since the bulk cargo thrown into the hopper entrance is conveyed into the hold by the air streams from the circumferential wall, it is prevented from scattering to the outside.
