    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server apparatus capable of applying a relay buffer for a PCI Express interface to a transmission distance exceeding PCI Express specifications, and even when signal attenuation of an input signal is large and an EI state and a normal transmission state can not be distinguished from each other, capable of suitably discriminating the EI state.
      SOLUTION: In the server apparatus, a transmitting side relay buffer 7 in a server module 1 and a transmitting side relay buffer 10 in an IO module 3 respectively discriminate whether a link of a PCI Express interface 11 is in an idle state or not, transfer the discriminated information to corresponding receiving side relay buffers 8, 9. The receiving side relay buffer 9 of the server module 1 and the receiving side relay buffer 8 of the IO module 3 respectively control ON/OFF of signals from the PCI Express interfaces 11 based on the transferred discrimination information.
