    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize phase modifying equipment and protect a transformer for linkage by switching through a control switching circuit, so that the transformer for linkage will control the phase modifying equipment in overloaded state from a phase modification controller. SOLUTION: A phase modifying equipment 16 for reactive power compensation is placed between a transformer 14 for alternating current-to-direct current conversion and a transformer 15 for linkage of direct-current transmission equipment, and the phase modifying equipment 16 for reactive power compensation supplies reactive power to a voltage which is increased at the transformer 14 for alternating the current- to-direct current conversion to stabilize the supply of voltage. The calculation control circuit 20 of a phase modification controller 18 is fed with a power setting value signal 19 from a power set value circuit 17 during operation of an alternating current- to-direct current converter for performing control arithmetic operation, and outputs the result of the control arithmetic operation as 'on'/'off' operation commanding signal 21 to the phase modifying equipment 16 for reactive power compensation. When the transformer 15 for linkage is overloaded, an auxiliary relay is operated to change the control route. As a result, the effective utilization of the phase modifying equipment and the protection of the transformer device for linkage are made feasible.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a device to surely detect abnormal conditions, even in the case that the condition is repeated generated and exceeds a durable amount of a protective object. SOLUTION: Based on an output of a protecting relay 10 which detects abnormality of a protective object, a cumulative time of the protective object placed in an abnormal condition is measured by a counter 12, and when the protective object is returned to a normal condition from the abnormal condition, a continued time of the normal condition is measured by a counter 26. If an output of the counter 26 exceeds a reset time settling level T2, the protective object is decided to have returned completely to the normal condition, and a measurement value of the counter 12 is reset. Without resetting the measurement value of the counter 12, when its output exceeds a durable amount time settling level T1, the abnormal condition is considered to exceed a durable amount of the protective object, and a protection output for protecting the protective object is generated through a timer 16 from a comparator 14.

    • PURPOSE: To detect a system fault, suppress voltage variation by circuit reclosure and line disconnection, and stabilize the system by providing a decision means for a system accident and a circuit which widens the control range of a controller. CONSTITUTION: The controller 70 normally has limiter width enough for voltage variation in the case of a system accident, performs operation while the output is suppressed by a limiter 14, and waits for other phase modifying equipments to respond. In another way, a limiter operation detector 16 detects the reactive power compensating device being in limiter operation and outputs a control request signal to a phase modifying capacitor 10 to prevent long-time limiter operation. In case of the system fault, a system accident deciding circuit 13 decides the system accident with information from a breaker 8 and a voltage detector 11. Then a limiter switching command is supplied to the limiter 14, whose limiter width is widened to suppress the voltage variation of the system.
