    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the damage or deformation of card by raising a pawl at a prescribed position accompanying the conveyance of card, engaging the end part of card and the pawl and detecting the distance between the engaged position and the raising position of pawl. SOLUTION: When a card 10 is inserted to a tray 11, a pawl 19 rises up, continuously, the tray 11 starts moving and the rear end of the card 10 is hooked by the pawl 19 and moved together with the tray 11. When the tray 11 passes through magnetic heads 17 and 18, the recorded contents of the card 10 are detected by a sensor but when any damaged part exists on the card 10, even when the pawl 19 rises up, the card 10 stops up to the position where the damaged part is engaged with the pawl 19 and in comparison with the case of no damage on the card 10, a time lag is generated until the pawl is engaged with the card 10. Thus, the deviation of tray 11 and card 10 can be detected and the existence of damaged part on the conveyed card can be judged.

    • PURPOSE:To make the position of causes of abnormality clear by making it possible to distinguish the abnormality of an IC card itself and the abnormality of a reading device itself. CONSTITUTION:A master IC10 having the capacity equal to or higher than the IC incorporated in an IC card 1 is used, and various inspecting data that inspect each part of a contactor 5 equally are stored in the IC. While the card 1 is receding in a drive roller side, the contactor 5 caused reading errors of information of the IC card 1 is connected to a contact 11 of the master IC10 by an actuator 6. Then, inspection data in the master IC10 is read by a microcomputer in a controlling section 9, and when it is checked that there is no reading error, the contactor 5 is regarded as normal, and the IC card is disposed as defective. When reading errors occur after repeating reading of inspection data in the master IC several times, the contactor 5 is disposed as defective, warning is issued to replace the contactor 5.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a card reader which accepts a composite system card by providing the first head to read the magnetic data on the card and the second head to read the data of IC laid at the card. CONSTITUTION:A motor 12a is driven by a signal from a control part and a tray 11 is shifted by rotating a belt 12b in a left direction. Both a roller 16 and the first head 13 are allowed to contact with a card 10, the roller 16 and the card 10 are pressured onto the tray 11 and the head 13 reads magnetic data on the head 13. The tray 11 is further shifted, contacts a roller 17, the tip is allowed to contact with a position sensor 11d and then the tray is stopped from the control part. After the tray 11 is stopped, the second head is descended and a contact 14a is allowed to contact with a contact 10b corresponding on the card 10. In such a condition, the test signal is given from the head 14 side to the IC card 10 side, the response signal is sent from the card 10 side to the head 14 side and the control part decides whether or not the IC card is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the productivity of a winding apparatus for a flat coil by holding starting and finishing end wires, providing a jig for exfoliating films, forming a coil, then energizing the coil through the jig reducing the manual works, thereby enabling the automatic electric energization. CONSTITUTION:A winding die holder 13 in which a vacant winding die 15 is disposed is installed at the coil winding position on a turntable 11. The end of a wire 100 led from the end of a flyer 43 is pulled out by a handling unit 48, and is held by an energizing jig 17. A cutting edge is provided in the jig 17, the wire is held by the jig and a thermally fusible film is exfoliated by the jig. Then, winding dies 15 are respectively projected unwardly from a coil retainer 61, and flyer 43 is rotated to form a coil. Thereafter, the finishing end wire is pulled out by the handling unit 48, is held by the jig 18, and the film is exfoliated. The coil is then energized and heated via the jigs 17, 18 and is selffusion bonded at the film.
