    • PURPOSE:To shorten the access time of the disk storage device by constituting the device in such a manner that the data related to each other on addresses are simultaneously recorded and reproduced to and from plural corresponding :racks via plural heads. CONSTITUTION:A disk 1 is provided with, for example, three pieces of the heads H1 to H3 by shifting the heads from each other in a diametral direction R by each of the specified number of track pitches on each of the respective surfaces thereof. The tracks T of the number obtd. by multiplying the number of the heads H1 to H3 by the number of the track pitches shifted from each other are defined as zones Z1, 7,2, etc., and the recording and reproducing of the data for :he range where these zones are equally divided are shared with the heads H1 to H3. The recording and reproducing of :he data associated with each other on the addresses to and from the plural tracks T are progressed in parallel in such l manner. As a result, the share in recording and reproducing of the data in the zones is equally allotted to each of the plural heads. The overlap and conflict between the plural heads in recording and reproducing do not arise any more.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce an offset or fluctuation of a voltage of an output signal by detecting a base current of an auxiliary transistor (TR) by a current mirror circuit and extracting a current equal to a base current of a 2nd TR from a load resistor current. CONSTITUTION:The amplifier circuit is provided with 1st and 2nd transistors (TRs) 10, 20 receiving an input signal Si respectively at the bases, and also with an auxiliary TR 30 supplying an emitter current as a collector current to the TR 10 and a load resistor 40 at the collector of the TR 20 and then current mirror circuits 50, 60 detecting a base current of the auxiliary TR 30 to extract a relevant current from the current flowing to the collector of the TR 20 from the load resistor 40. Then an output signal So is extracted from the connecting point between the load resistor 40 and the collector of the TR 20. Thus, an offset or fluctuation of a voltage of an output signal due to a change or fluctuation in a current amplification factor of TRs being components of the amplifier circuit is reduced.

CONSTITUTION:This device is comprised in such a way that the optical head 2 is driven in the inside direction, and the optical head 2 is pressed on an optical stopper 4, and the position of an optical spot when the optical head is pressed is located inside more than the PEP area. When the optical head 2 is driven outside the direction by a controller 5 after pressing the optical head 2 on the optical head stopper 4, the optical spot starts to move outward, and it passes the PEP area, and the data in the PEP area can be read at that time. In such a way, by reading the optical spot in the PEP area as moving the optical spot in one or both directions within the PEP area, the data in the PEP area can be read in spite of the mechanical dispersion or the difference of the media.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the run away of a head at a minimum and to attain speedy error processing by combining function, which judges the execution of seek or the execution of kick-back, with function to detect ouf-of-track, detecting the out-of-track is generated in a tracking servo, and immediately executing the error processing. CONSTITUTION:When an out-of-track detector 103 detects it from a track error (TE) signal 106 that the sufficiently large out-of-track is generated, it is considered that an optical spot SPT is out of the track, and an out-of-track detection signal 111 is outputted to a central drive control part 105. However, this signal is outputted only when an out-of-track control signal 110 shows the allowance of detection. Namely, the out-of-track is detected from the detection level of the TE signal 106 and when this out-of-track is detected when neither seek not the kick-back is executed, the error processing is immediately executed. Thus, the out-of-track can be speedily detected and the speedy error processing can be attained.

    • PURPOSE:To enable stable seek operation by calculating the number of seek tracks and afterwards, delaying a seek operation starting time point for certain time corresponding to this number of the seek tracks. CONSTITUTION:Function (seek time calculating circuit 7) is provided to calculate seek time TSEEK and a function (seek start delay time calculating circuit 8) is provided to judge whether a head 2 arrives on a preformat part or arrives near the preformat part when the seek is finished and to calculate seek start delay time alpha corresponding to the arrival. Then, function is provided to wait for this seek start delay time alpha and to start the seek. The start of the seek operation is delayed for certain time and the seek operation is finished on the track excepting for the preformat part. Thus, it is possible to prevent the generation of seek error that velocity can not be normally detected by noise caused by the influence of the preformat part and the head runs away on the track to be a purpose without stable tracking.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity to execute correction once more after seek operation is once executed and to shorten a seek time by using a value, for which track difference is corrected by the error of a moving track number, as a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The seek time is forecasted from difference between a track number 7a of a purpose track and a track number 4a, in which an optical spot SPT is positioned when the seek operation is started, namely, from the value of track difference 7b and the number of final sectors, through which the optical spot SPT is passed during the seek operation, is calculated. This value is added to the track difference 7b as a value 9a, which is the error of the moving track number, and a moving track number 10a is calculated. Then, this value is used as the track number 10a to be crossed at the time of the seek operation. Thus, an opportunity that the correction operation has to be executed again is almost eliminated and the seek time can be shortened.
