    • PURPOSE:To enable an input, which continues a pulse width output of predetermined value or less, to a comparator to be completely removed as a noise, by supplying a needle valve lift-detection signal to the comparator to be changed into a pulse code. CONSTITUTION:An output from a piezo-electric element 1, which constitutes a needle valve lift sensor, is supplied through a band pass filter 2 to a comparator 3 here converted into a pulse code. And triggering a on-shot multivibrator 5 by an output of the comparator 3, an output of the one-shot multivibrator 5 and the output of the comparator 3 are supplied to an AND gate 6 performing AND (logical multiply) calculation. An output of the AND gate 6 is fed to a D flip flop 7 as a clock signal, and an output Q of the flip flop is fed to a microcomputer 12 calculating a timing value cooperatively with an input from an OR gate 8. In this way, the result is obtained substantially the same to that a detection signal, continuing an output pulse width or more of the one-shot multivibrator 5, serves as the needle valve lift-detection signal, and an input, continuing the output pulse width or less of the one-shot multivibrator 5, to the comparator 3 is completely removed as the noise.

    • PURPOSE:To enable detecting the operation of a solenoid actuator with a good response by detecting the vibration of a movable body generated at the time of the level change of a driving signal by responding to the output of a detection coil for being magnetically coupled with an excitation coil via the movable body in the solenoid actuator. CONSTITUTION:A detection coil 28 is provided for detecting the voltage signal corresponding to the movement of a movable body 25 in order to detect whether a solenoid valve 1 is operating as required according to a driving signal DS. The detection coil 28 is so provided as to electromagnetically be coupled with an excitation coil 24 via the movable body 25 and a waveform voltage signal which follows the movement of the movable body 25 is sent out from the detection coil 28 as a detection signal KS. When the excitation coil 24 transfers from a demagnetized state to an excited state or from the excited state to the demagnetized state, the movable body 25 is affected by a force which moves the movable body 25 in one direction or in the other direction but the movable body 25 vibrates since the movable body 25 is energized in one direction by a contracting spring 27 and the state of the vibration is reflected to the waveform of the detection signal KS from the detection coil 28.

CONSTITUTION:When a driving shaft 6 is rotated, a plunger 4 is rotatingly reciprocated due to the cooperation of a cam disk 7 and a roller holder 11, and fuel in a high pressure chamber 12 is pressurized at a defined timing, and introduced into a pump chamber 15 through an oil passage 14. In this case, two signal generators 20, 30 are provided to obtain the operating timing of a pump 1. And, the first signal generator 20 consists of a gear 21 fixed to the driving shaft 6 and a first pickup coil 22 screwed to a holder frame 11a, and obtains the rotation angle signal S1 of the plunger 4. The second signal generator 30 consists of a spring seat 10 as a pulser and a second pickup coil 32, and obtains the reference position signal S2 of the plunger 4.

    • PURPOSE:To conduct surely the discrimination of the existence of a collision within a required period and conduct a highly reliable control, by detecting the peak value of the positive of a speed change in response to a signal processing means, and deciding the reference level of a collision decision in accordance with this value, and conducting the comparison of a speed change level and the reference level. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a vehicle colliding with an obstackle in front due to the vehicle being hit from behind, the vehicle is accelerated once, and as a result, the speed of the vehicle is increased once, and next, deceleration is made. A peak value at the time of the positive direction change of a speed change which is generated by a vehicle speed being increased once, is detected by means of a peak value detecting means 5 based on an output from an integration means 4, and the reference level for a collision decision is determined in consideration of this detected peak value at a determining means 6. The reference level thus decided and the level of the speed change, are compared by means of a comparison means 7, and the decision of the vehicle collision is conducted based on this comparison outcome.

    • PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the accuracy of detection by connecting a pressure sensor selectably to the upstream and downstream sides of both filter trap and muffler disposed in an exhaust pipe from an internal combustion engine so as to measure the pressure differential across each of the filter trap and the muffler by use of only one pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION:A filter trap 2 and a muffler 4 are disposed in an exhaust pipe 1 from an internal combustion engine. In this arrangement, one pilot pipe 13a from a pressure sensor 13 is connected to the exhaust pipe 1 between the filter trap 2 and the muffler 4, and the other pilot pipe 13b is connected selectively to a plurality of pilot pipes 15, 16 through a selector valve 14. Further, the pilot pipe 15 is connected to the exhaust pipe 1 upstream of the filter trap 2 while the pilot pipe 16 is connected to the exhaust pipe 16 downstream of the muffler 4. Accordingly, it is possible to measure the pressure differential across each of the filter trap 2 and the muffler 4 by use of the pressure sensor 13 alone by changing over the selector valve 14.
