    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a densified plate material with a natural texture which is made to resemble a plate material of a natural rare wood species with a large diameter such as ebony and rosewood, to the maximum possible degree, as a raw material of a short period cut down cycle in an afforestment land, as well as a method for manufacturing to emphasize as much resemblance as possible to the natural rare wood species in terms of color cast, i.e. thick winter color cast and pale summer color cast, annual ring width, air-dried specific gravity, etc.
      SOLUTION: First, a wood block is obtained by sawing a wood which can be reproduced by afforestation in the afforested land, then, is impregnated with a coloring agent and a thermosetting resin in a pressure caldron at a temperature which does not allow the resin to cure, and the impregnated wood block is fabricated into a bonded plate material by sawing or slicing.
