    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical method for preventing termites without using a termite-proofing agent.
      SOLUTION: A termite-proofing member 20 is disposed in contact with one side face 12a of a foundation 12 of a building 10. A grain layer 21 formed with clearances between grains to the extent of not allowing termites to pass through is used as the termite-proofing member 20. A partition member 22 having a sidewall part 23 and a bottom part 24 connected to the lower end of the sidewall part 23 is used, and the bottom part 24 of the partition member 22 is disposed on the ground 31 so that an end 24a, located on the opposite side to the sidewall part 23, of the bottom part 24 of the partition member 22 is disposed along one side face 12a of the foundation 12. The grain layer 21 is disposed between the one side face 12a of the foundation 12 and the partition member 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of drilling lumber by which the lumber can efficiently be drilled while hardly chipping a drill small in diameter when many deep and fine holes are drilled in the lumber.
      SOLUTION: This is a drilling method of lumber in which a large number of fine holes are drilled in the lumber using a drill for the purpose of enhancing permeability inside the lumber.
