    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base solation technique which allows base isolation devices to dispersively bear an unexpectedly large horizontal force if the horizontal force is imposed on a building and the base isolation devices each undergo abnormal displacement falling out of a base isolation region, and facilitates recovery of an upper structure of the building to its original position after cancellation of the horizontal force.
      SOLUTION: Each base isolation device employs an abnormal displacement preventing means to cope with the abnormal displacement falling out of the base isolation region occurring due to an unexpected external force. The abnormal displacement preventing means accommodates relative displacement of an upper bearing member 5 to a lower bearing member, and at the same time prevents the abnormal displacement falling out of the base isolation region, by upward displacement of the upper bearing member 5 generated by rolling of a ball body 6 according to the displacement. Thus by virtue of cooperative operation of the abnormal displacement preventing means of the respective base isolation devices, the unexpected external force caused by wind etc. is dispersively borne by the base isolation devices.

      SOLUTION: The device is provided with guide rails 68, 69 equipped with guide supporting edges 70, 71 formed to gradually enlarge an interval between mutual outside edges arranged mutually spaced from the center to both the outer edges, and tapered rolling parts 129, 131 rolling in contact therewith from the outside for the guide supporting edges 70, 71, and consisting of circular cross-sections taperingly formed inward. The restoring function is imparted with the displacement in the height direction occurred when the tapered rolling parts 129, 131 move from the center into the outer end side along the guide supporting edges 70, 71. The guide supporting edge formed to gradually lessen the interval between the mutual inside edges of the guide rail from the center into both the outer edges can be also used.

    • PURPOSE: To adjust the height at a lower position by installing a support plate to which a post-shaped bolt provided with a height adjusting male screw is erected and a female screw in the inner surface of a through hole and constituting a floor board support member provided with a support disk outside and a floor board fastener. CONSTITUTION: A support plate 1 is fixed with a structural floor 3. A corner part of each panel which constitutes a floor board 8 is loaded on a support disk 9 by way of an intermediate receiving board 10 in an aligned state between claw pieces 11. When a floor board support 5 is turned wit a rotary jig by way of an negagement groove 12, a sliding motion is produced on a joint surface between the disk 9 and the receiving board 10 and only the support 5 and the disk are turned, thereby adjusting the engagement relation of a female screw B installed to the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder-shaped part 6 of the support 5 against a male screw A installed to a post-shaped bolt 2 and controlling the support height of the floor board 8. This construction makes it possible to set a finishing height to a lower value compared with the finishing height of a double floor by engaging the female screw B with the bolt 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure of a wood member effectively restraining dent into the wood member in the joint structure in which at least one of members is formed of the wood member, and moreover excelling in workability and effective in improving joint strength between the members.
      SOLUTION: Contact surfaces of wood members such as beam members 8, 9 with other members such as joint fittings 16-19 are formed with embedding holes 20-23 orthogonal to the direction of fiber. Dent preventing members 24-27 such as deformed reinforcing bars are embedded in the embedding holes 20-23, and the peripheries are stuck with a sticking material such as epoxy resin. The bearing strength of the wood members is enhanced by abutting between the ends of the dent preventing members 24-27 and the other members to restrain the other members from denting into the wood members.
