    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal ultra fine particle composite fixing a metal ultra fine particle to a porous material without agglomeration, its production method and its use. SOLUTION: A porous composite fixes the metal ultra fine particle having a nano scale to a carrier containing a meatal oxide in a dispersed state and stably. An activated porous composite controls a particle size of the metal ultra fine particle in a narrow particle distribution range of a standard deviation of 2 nm or smaller. A catalyst comprises the composite. A member such as an oxidation catalyst and a carbon monoxide removal filter has the catalyst as a component. The catalyst including this porous composite can remarkably enhance catalyst efficiency in comparison with a conventional material, and is useful as a component of the member, for example, such as the oxidation catalyst, a reduction catalyst and a VOC eliminating filter.
