    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-growing type roof greening execution method using self-growing plants forming an ecosystem capable of continuously making the alternation of generations following the natural metabolic process in plants vegetated on the artificial ground and consisting of a lightweight and thin type capable of corresponding even to variations in weather while having venting efficiency, water retentivity and drainage efficiency in a planting bedrock. SOLUTION: When a self-growing type roof greening method is executed, an impervious or permeable sheet 30 is stuck on a concrete slab 50 and, at the same time, a shower pipe 20 capable of supply water at the necessary minimum is laid on the impervious or permeable sheet 30. Then, vegetation mats 10 having separately prepared grown plants are conveyed and laid on the impervious or permeable sheet 30. Then, corner joint sections (1-4 places) of a group of vegetation mats 10 to be spread all over the sheet 30 are fixed to the concrete slab through an anchoring metal fixture. Then, stalks and leaves of plants are scattered by hands on the vegetation mats 10 to be set. The scattered stalks and leaves take root into the soil to mixedly plant within a short period of time, and a densly grown ecosystem can be realized on the vegetation mats.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a vegetation of planting material on an artificial ground capable of not requiring a trouble and greening the artificial ground in a short period at a low cost by spreading a vegetation mat over a water interception or water permeable sheet. SOLUTION: A water interception or a water permeable sheet 30 is pasted to a concrete slab 50 forming an artificial ground. A watering pipe 20 capable of absorbing a necessity minimum amount of water is spread over the water interception or the water permeable sheet 30. Then, a planting soil composed of soil or artificial soil is rubbed in or packed into fiber gaps of a separately prepared base mat obtained by piling and forming fibers in a nonwoven fabric state and made into an integrated state to give a vegetation mat 14 for vegetating a plant, material 16 by seed sowing or seedling sowing. The vegetation mat is transported to an application spot in a rolled or flat plate-like unit mat and laid. Preferably the planting soil has a difference in density in the thickness direction of the base mat in which the planting soil is rubbed and packed and has change in air permeability, water retention, water permeability, etc.
