    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe connection device enabling the easy piping operation and eliminating the risk of pipe extraction after the installation of the pipes.
      SOLUTION: This pipe connection device for connecting water supply and sewerage pipes connected in buildings comprises a seal ring 4 formed of an elastic body fitted to the connection end outer peripheral surfaces of pipe bodies 2 to be connected to each other, a housing type pipe fitting 1 formed by dividing an annular body in the circumferential direction and formed of a plurality of housings 1a holding the outer peripheral surface of the seal ring 4, a locking ridge 2a projectedly formed annularly on the connection side end part outer peripheral surfaces of the pipe bodies 2 and engaged with the inner peripheral side opening edge 1d of the housing 1a from the inside to prevent the pipe bodies 2 from coming out of the housing 1a, and a fixing means 3 pressing the seal ring 4 against the connection end outer peripheral surfaces of the pipe bodies 2 by tightening the areas between the end parts of the housing 1a. Consequently, the piping operation can be facilitated, and the possibility of extraction of the pipe can be eliminated even if an external force in the tensile direction is applied to the pipe bodies 2 during and after the installation of the pipes.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swan socket welded joint which improves tensile strength of a weld zone by forming an inner groove on the end face of a socket body.
      SOLUTION: This is a swan socket welded joint with which piping of tubular bodies is performed by welding tubular bodies 1, 2 with the welding ends inserted in the end part of a socket body 3. The end face of the socket body is removed from the outer to the inner peripheral face side of the end part to form an inner groove 4 on the inner peripheral face side of the end part of the socket body. Since a welding length for the tubular bodies is increased compared with the conventional swan socket welded joint that has no inner groove, the tensile strength of the weld zone is remarkably improved, which enhances durability and reliability of the weld zone connecting the swan socket welded joint and the tubular bodies.
