摘要： A system and method are provided for operating a power generating asset electrically coupled to a power grid. The power generating asset includes a power converter having a line-side converter operably coupled to the power grid via a converter contactor. Accordingly, a line-side converter of the power converter is decoupled from the power grid and a controller determines the phase angle of the grid voltage. A switching sequence for a plurality switching devices of the line-side converter is then set in order to develop a pre-charge voltage phase angle at a converter-side terminal of the converter contactor which is in phase with the phase angle of the grid voltage. A portion of the charge of the DC link is then discharged through the line-side converter to develop a pre-charge voltage at the converter-side terminal. Once the in-phase, pre-charge voltage is established at the converter-side terminal, the converter contactor is closed to re-couple the line-side converter to the power grid.

The stator being operably coupled to a transformer, and ultimately to the power grid, via a sync-switch assembly. The sync-switch assembly having a plurality of switching devices electrically coupled in parallel. Accordingly, a controller detects an approach of at least one operating parameter of the power generating asset to a first parameter threshold. In response to detecting the approach of the operating parameter to the first parameter threshold, the controller independently changes an operating state of a first switching device of the plurality of switching devices of the sync-switch assembly. Each switching device of the plurality of switching devices is independently controllable via the controller.

The electric circuit includes a main power converter 10 having main input terminals connected to the power source 16 by a DC link 14 and output terminals. The main power converter 10 is controlled by a controller 18. The electric circuit includes a main transformer 8 having a primary winding 8a and a secondary winding 8b, the primary winding being connected to the output terminals of the main power converter 10. Main switchgear 6 is connected between the secondary winding 8b of the main transformer 8 and the power grid 4. An auxiliary transformer 24 has a primary winding 24a connected to the power grid 4 in parallel with the main switchgear 4 and a secondary winding 24b connected to the controller 18. A pre-charge circuit 28 is connected between the auxiliary transformer 24 and the DC link 14.

- die zusätzliche Energiequelle (Q2) eine unabhängig von der Primärenergiequelle (Q1) betreibbare Gleichstromquelle ist, und bei dem
- die zusätzliche Energiequelle (Q2) parallel zu den Eingangsklemmen (2,2') des Wechselrichters (3) verschaltet ist.
Das Verfahren bietet den Vorteil, dass die Auslegung des Wechselrichters (3) auf die zulässige Leerlaufspannung auch im Betriebsfall genutzt werden kann, ohne dass schaltungstechnische Eingriffe in die Primärenergiequelle (Q1) vorzunehmen sind.
