摘要： The output wavelengths of an electrodeless lamp are controlled by passing a fluid over the surface of the lamp to control its temperature. The stabilized temperature prevents thermal runaway of the lamp and stabilizes the output wavelengths of the lamp. When the fluid passing over the lamp is water, the lamp can be used for sanitary treatment of the water. The treatment can be enhanced by shaping the electrodeless lamp to provide maximally effective water treatment.

摘要： The present invention relates to an electrode paste composition, a front plate of plasma display panel, and a manufacturing method manufactured using the same. The front plate of plasma display panel comprises a front substrate, a bus electrode disposed on a predetermined position of the front substrate and a black matrix disposed in each discharge cell. The paste composition for a bus electrode comprises about 5 to 20 parts by weight of a binder, about 2 to 15 parts by weight of a photopolymerization monomer, about 1 to 8 parts by weight of a photopolymerization initiator, about 5 to 20 parts by weight of a solvent, about 1 to 10 parts by weight of a glass powder, about 50 to 80 parts by weight of a metal powder and about 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of a boron oxide (B 2 0 3 ). In the paste composition and the front plate of the plasma display panel using the same according to the present invention, it can be formed a bus electrode on a substrate directly using a paste composition for electrode in which boron oxide is admixed to silver.

摘要： A high pressure sodium lamp (100) having an evacuated glass envelope (6) with a plurality of electrically conductive support members therein and extending therethrough. An elongated arc tube (14) having a pair of electrodes (26) extending therethrough is affixed to the electrically conductive support members within the glass envelope. A gas fill includes a quantity of mercury and sodium within the elongated tube. 摘要： An actinic radiation source (20) includes an anode (36) upon which an electron beam from a cathode ray gun (24) impinges. The anode (36) includes a window area (52) formed by a silicon membrane. The electron beam upon striking the anode (36) permeates the window area (52) to penetrate into medium surrounding actinic radiation source (20). A method for making an anode (36) uses a substrate having both a thin first layer (44) and a thicker second layer (46) of single crystal silicon material between which is interposed a layer of etch stop material (48). The second layer (46) is anisotropically etched to the etch stop material (48) to define the electron beam window area (52) on the first layer (44). That portion of the etch stop layer (48) exposed by etching through the second layer (46) is then removed. The anode (36) thus fabricated has a thin, monolithic, low-stress and defect-free silicon membrane electron beam window area (52) provided by the first layer of the substrate.

By additional means (13) the envelope (12) is rotated at a fast enough rate so as to cause the discharge (15) formed by the fill to substantially fill the interior volume of the envelope (12).

摘要： An improved electrodeless discharge lamp bulb includes an integral ceramic reflector (14) as a portion of the bulb envelope. The integral reflector increases candle power along the axis of the bulb away from the lamp and reduces the light emitted behind the lamp. A bulb envelope is, for example, fabricated from two pieces, the reflector portion or segment (14) is cast quartz ceramic and the light transmissive portion (12) is clear fused silica. By using the manufacturing method of the present invention, a plurality of bulb shapes and designs are made possible. In one embodiment, the cast quartz ceramic segment includes heat sink fins (28) or stubs providing an increased outside surface area to dissipate internal heat. In another method of the present invention, the quartz ceramic segment has an outside surface fused to eliminate gas permeation by fire polishing. The light transmissive portion and the reflective ceramic portion of the bulb portion are fused together using a gas or a laser (175, 190) while fused silica material is added to the fusion zone.
