摘要： A method of measuring acceleration includes suspending an inertial body using a magnetic fluid; generating a magnetic field within the magnetic fluid; modulating the magnetic field to counteract a change in position of the inertial body relative to sources of the magnetic field due to acceleration; and calculating the acceleration based on the modulation. The calculating step derives the acceleration based on an amount of current through drive coils required for the modulation. The acceleration includes linear acceleration and/or angular acceleration. The drive coils include permanent magnets, electromagnets, or a combination of a permanent magnet and an electromagnet. Sensing coils can be used for detecting the displacement of the inertial body. Each sensing coil can be positioned substantially within a corresponding drive coil. The inertial body can be non-magnetic, weakly magnetic, or have a ferromagnetic coating.

摘要： A shock pulse sensor (10) comprising a housing (46) and a sensor element. The sensor element, especially a permanent magnet (42), can be displaced along a predetermined path (x) in the housing at speed under the influence of an at least approximately pulse-type shock to the housing (46). 摘要： A ferromagnetic shunt (34) is pivotally mounted to a housing to form a pendulum that swings between a reed switch (30) and a magnet (32). As long as the shunt remains between the reed switch BV and the magnet the reed switch remains open. The shunt is held or biased between the magnet and the reed switch by the force of the magnetic attraction between the shunt and the magnet. The mass of the shunt acts as both a tilt sensor (20) and an accelerometer. 摘要： An acceleration sensor (100) includes a chamber (104) accommodating a member (106) made from an inductance influencing material. The member is inductively coupled to one or more coils (110) which have their respective central winding planes outside the chamber. The member cooperates with the chamber in a way that a given force exerted on the member results in a certain position of the member in the chamber. An example of such cooperation can be realized by giving the chamber and the member a spherical shape. A force on the sensor pulls the member to a certain position in the chamber, which position corresponds to the direction of the force. The position is measured on the basis of the self induction of the coil or coils. In a steady state, the position of the member is representative of the orientation of the sensor with respect to the field of gravity.

摘要： An acceleration sensor includes a tubular bobbin (10) only one end of which is fixed to a body (31) whereas the other end is movable relative to the body axially of the bobbin, so that thermal expansion and shrinkage of the bobbin are not limited by the body. Supported on the body are magnets (36, 37) for attracting a magnetic member (20), mounted within the bobbin, to a reference position. A detection member (25) is mounted around the bobbin so as to detect a displacement of the magnetic member from the reference position. An acceleration sensing system incorporating such a sensor includes a processing circuit for processing an output of the detection member to output a detection signal (Vo) representative of the direction and magnitude of the acceleration. The processing circuit has a temperature compensation circuit (80) for compensating for a variation of the output of the detection member due to a variation of the relative position between the magnet and the detection member in the direction of the axis of the bobbin, so as to keep the detection signal at a constant level when the acceleration is zero, the variation of the relative position being caused by a temperature variation.
