    • The invention relates to the field of excavation systems and more particularly of excavation systems comprising electropulse excavation tools. An excavation system according to the invention comprises a support chassis (34), a hydraulic circuit with a pump, and a first and second excavation tool. One of said first and second excavation tools is a mechanical excavation tool (1') comprising a hydraulic actuator and a mounting interface with at least one mechanical fixing member and at least one hydraulic coupling in fluidic communication with said hydraulic actuator, while the other of said first and second excavation tools is an electropulse excavation tool (1) comprising an electric generator (3) with a rotary shaft for generating electricity from the rotation of the rotary shaft, a hydraulic motor coupled to said rotary shaft to actuate the rotation of the rotary shaft, an electronic power module (4) electrically connected to the electric generator (3) so as to be powered by the electric generator (3) so as to generate electric pulses of an instantaneous power that is higher than an instantaneous power of the electric generator (3), a plurality of electrodes (5a, 5p), of which at least one electrode (5a) connected to said power electronics module (4), which are arranged on said frontal face, and a mounting interface (14) with at least one mechanical fixing member (22) and at least one hydraulic coupling (20) in fluidic communication with said hydraulic motor (2). Each of the mounting interfaces of the first and second excavation tools is capable of alternate and releasable mounting of the corresponding excavation tool under the support chassis (34) of the excavation system, with the corresponding hydraulic coupling in fluidic communication with said hydraulic circuit of the excavation assembly.

    • An electric discharge breaking system (61) comprising a container (62) fitted in a hole (73) formed in an object (72) to be fractured. The container (62) contains a thin metal wire (64) connected between a pair of electrodes (63) and charged with a breaking substance (71). There are breaking openings formed in a side wall of the container (62) so as for leading outward in prescribed directions an expansion force generated by fusing and vaporizing the breaking substance (71).
      A method for manufacturing the discharge system (61) uses a fluidized self-hardening substance (71) as the breaking substance which is charged into the container (62) after the breaking openings are closed with a sheath member (75) that is peeled off after the self-hardening substance (71) is solidified.
      The discharge breaking system (61) and the manufacturing method therefore permit carrying out discharge breaking works with high efficiencies since expansion forces are led to the breaking openings formed in the containers (62).
