摘要： The invention relates to an illuminated signalling device for pedestrian crossings, comprising a support which is fixed to the pavement and which is used to house all of the mechanisms necessary for the operation thereof. The invention also comprises a timed push button which is disposed on the aforementioned support at a height of approximately one metre above the ground and which is used to start the device. The upper part of the support comprises an illuminated panel displaying the graphic signal which indicates the existence of a pedestrian crossing. Moreover, the rear of said illuminated panel is designed such that easily-replaceable advertising can be housed therein and, if necessary, an acoustic system for the visually impaired can be installed, which is activated simultaneously with the illuminated panel. The inventive device is preferably connected to the low-voltage network of the public thoroughfare or, under other circumstances, mechanisms for the use of alternative energy sources can be installed. According to the invention, one signal is provided for each direction and if more than one unit is to be installed at the same pedestrian crossing, said units are connected by means of under-pavement wiring.
