摘要： The present invention is an antistatic acrylic fiber which comprises 90 to 99% by weight of acrylonitrile polymer containing 80 to 100% by weight of acrylonitrile as a constituting component and 10 to 1% by weight of acrylic antistatic resin containing 10 to 70% by weight of acrylonitrile as a constituting component, characterized in that alkali metal ion is contained in an amount of not less than 150 ppm to the fiber. The acrylic fiber of the present invention has antistatic property which does not lower so much even if the fiber is subjected to a spinning and dyeing step.

摘要： The invention relates to the use of a particulate material derived from mammalian hair in the preparation of a paper or paperboard product, which particulate material has been prepared by means of a process, which comprises the following steps: (a) subjecting mammalian hair to an oxidation treatment in which the hair is contacted with a solution, which comprises a bleaching agent; (b) separating the oxidised hair from the solution; (c) drying the separated hair; and (d) subjecting the dried hair to a treatment in which the hair is formed into a particulate material having an average particle size in the range of from 0.5 to 4 mm. The invention further relates to a paper or paperboard product, or paper pulp comprising said particulate material.

摘要： Durable stretch fabrics are made and processed from one or more inelastic and one or more elastic fibers, for example, a substantially linear, homogeneously branched ethylene polymer. The fabrics can be made by any process, such as, weaving, knitting, etc., and from any combination of crosslinked, heat-resistant olefin elastic and inelastic ('hard') fibers, for example, cotton and wool. These fabrics exhibit excellent chemical, resistance (for example chlorine or caustic resistance) and durability, that is they retain their shape and feel ('hand') over repeated exposure to processing conditions, such as stone-washing, dye-stripping, PET-dyeing and the like, and service conditions, such as washing, drying, etc.

摘要： Fibrillation of certain cellulosic fibres has been widely studied, and fibrillation can be utilised to improve fabric performance, for example strength, absorbency, surface area together with handle and opacity. However, it believed that keratinous fibres such as wool have not been treated in this way. The invention seeks to provide a fibrillated keratinous fibre fabric and a method of fibrillating natural fibres. A textile fabric of keratinous fibre is disclosed characterised by the presence of fibrils, micro-fibrils and proto-fibrils. The fibrils may be further characterised as having diameters in the range 3 mum to 5 mum and by having lengths in the range 25 mum to 60 mum. Preferably, the fabric is a woven, knitted, non-woven or composite fabric. A method of treating natural fibres is also disclosed which comprises:- a pre-treatment to remove surface lipid materials or scales, e.g. using an oxidising agent; a treatment to remove or partially remove intercellular cement, e.g. using an enzyme; and the application of mechanical agitation under aqueous conditions, e.g. hydroentanglement, to complete fibrillation.

摘要： The invention relates to polymeric systems for stabilizing, storing and delivering hypohalide salts. One system consists of material coated with two layers: one prepared from polyethylene glycol epoxide and melamine solution and second prepared from inorganic hypohalide salt solution. The material can be fabric, cotton, bamboo, cellulosic materials, blend of cellulosic and synthetic fibers. Antimicrobial materials comprising this system are also described. Another system consists of material containing pre-formed spaces coated with water-polyethylene glycol solution of hypohalide salt and encapsulated by film forming polymer. Hypohalide salts within both systems are in some cases storage stable for at least three months.
