Die Verbindungen der Formel bilden als Kupplungskomponente zusammen mit üblichen Farbkupplern ein sehr empfindliches chromogenes System, das sich zur analytischen Bestimmung von oxidierenden Substanzen eignet, z.B. zur Bestimmung von H 2 O 2 und POD in Körperflüssigkeiten.
